Bobby Lammie
Bobby Lammie (born 10 February 1997) is a Scottish curler, originally from Stranraer. He currently plays second on Team Bruce Mouat. Career Juniors Lammie has been a part of the Mouat rink since 2015 when they were in juniors. Lammie was the alternate on the team at the 2015 World Junior Curling Championships, where they won a bronze medal. The following year, Lammie was promoted to third, and they won a gold medal at the 2016 World Junior Curling Championships. The following year, the team won the gold medal at the 2017 Winter Universiade. While the team was still in juniors, they won the 2015 Dumfries Challenger Series World Curling Tour event. Their gold medal at the 2016 World Juniors qualified the rink to play in the 2016 Humpty's Champions Cup Grand Slam event, where they lost in a tiebreaker. Stranraer
Stranraer ( , in Scotland also ; gd, An t-Sròn Reamhar ), also known as The Toon, is a town in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is located in the historical parish of Inch in the historic county of Wigtownshire. Scottish Mixed Doubles Curling Championship
The Scottish Mixed Doubles Curling Championship is the national curling championship for mixed doubles in Scotland. The Championship has been held annually since 2007 and the winners proceed to represent Scotland at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. The 2019 champions were Gina Aitken and Scott Andrews, who went through the 12-team 2018 Championships undefeated with Duncan Menzies filling in for an injured Andrews. At the 2019 World Mixed Doubles Championship they finished the round robin with a 6-1 record before losing in the first round of the playoffs to Estonia. The 2020 Mixed Doubles Championship was held 27 February - 1 March, 2020 at the Dewars Centre in Perth. In 2022, Eve Muirhead and Bobby Lammie went undefeated through the entire championship, beating Jennifer Dodds and Bruce Mouat in the final 9-2 after 5 ends. 2022 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship
The 2022 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from April 23 to 30 at the Curling Club Trois-Chêne in the Geneva Sous-Moulin Sports Center in Thônex, a suburb of Geneva, Switzerland. The event was held alongside the 2022 World Senior Curling Championships. World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships
The World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships are annual curling tournaments featuring the world's best teams of mixed doubles curlers. History The tournament began in 2008 with the 2008 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. Switzerland's mixed doubles team of Irene Schori and Toni Müller dominated the 2008 and 2009 championships and appeared in the first three worlds. At the 2010 Worlds, Russia won its first ever world curling title by defeating New Zealand, also first-time curling medalists. Russia did not successfully defend its world title, however, as they were defeated in the final of the 2011 Worlds by Switzerland, who won its third championship in four years. Switzerland then defended its title the next year, earning its fourth gold medal with a win over Sweden. In 2013, Hungary won their first world curling title after defeating Sweden in the final. 2022 European Curling Championships
The 2022 Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships was held in May and November 2022, to qualify European curling teams for the 2023 World Curling Championships. The A and B division competitions were held from November 18 to 26 at the Östersund Arena in Östersund, Sweden. The C division competition was held from April 30 to May 5 at the Kaunas Ice Palace in Kaunas, Lithuania. The top eight men's and women's team qualified for the 2023 World Men's Curling Championship and the 2023 World Women's Curling Championship respectively. European Curling Championships
The European Curling Championships are annual curling tournaments held in Europe between various European nations. The European Curling Championships are usually held in early to mid December. The tournament also acts as a qualifier for the World Championships, where the top eight nations qualify. In November 1974, a six-nations tournament was held in Zürich, Switzerland which included Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, France, Italy, and Norway. In March 1975, it was decided that the championships would be competed in December. 2018 World Men's Curling Championship
The 2018 World Men's Curling Championship (branded as the 361˚ World Men's Curling Championship 2018 for sponsorship reasons) was held from March 31 to April 8, 2018 at Orleans Arena, on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, United States. In a rematch of the 2017 gold medal game, the Swedish team led by Niklas Edin beat the defending champion Canadian team led by Brad Gushue 7–3 in the final to win the championship. In the game, Edin led 5–0 after five ends, thanks in part to stealing two in the fourth end when Gushue was light on a draw to the four-foot and another steal in the fifth after a missed runback double. Canada condeded the game after eight ends, and won the silver medal. It was the eighth championship for Sweden, and the third for Edin. Scotland, skipped by Bruce Mouat won the bronze.
