Bob Schepers
Bob Schepers (born 30 March 1992) is a Dutch footballer who plays as a winger for Dutch lower league side Blauw Wit '34. Schepers represented the Netherlands U-17 team at the 2009 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship and the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup. Club career Born in Enschede, Schepers started the 2008–09 season in the youth of SC-Cambuur-Leeuwarden. On 24 February 2009, Schepers signed a three-year deal with the club. He made his debut for Cambuur on 24 April 2009 in a 0–1 defeat against Dordrecht, coming on as a substitute for Sandor van der Heide. He was close to a move to FC Groningen, however the move failed to materialise. On 5 February 2010, he made his first appearance in the starting line-up in a 1–1 draw against AGOVV Apeldoorn. Enschede (; known as in the local Twents dialect) is a municipality and city in the eastern Netherlands in the province of Overijssel and in the Twente region. The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason. History The Eerste Divisie consists of 20 clubs, who play each other in a double round-robin league, with each club playing the other club home and away. Eerste Divisie 2008–09 began in August 2008 and concluded in May 2009, with the promotion playoffs. Sixteen clubs remained in the Eerste Divisie, whilst Excelsior and VVV-Venlo were relegated from the 2007–08 Eredivisie. VVV-Venlo won the league title and were promoted to the Eredivisie, the highest tier of football in the Netherlands, while eight other teams competed in a playoff with two Eredivisie sides for two Eredivisie places. The KNVB Beker (; en, KNVB Cup), branded as the TOTO KNVB Beker for sponsorship reasons, is a competition in the Netherlands organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) since 1898.
