Bob Christo
Robert John Christo, was an Australian-Indian civil engineer and actor in Hindi films. Starting with Sanjay Khan's ''Abdullah'' (1980), he went on to act in over 200 Hindi films in the 1980s and 1990s, including '' Qurbani'' (1980), ''Kaalia'' (1981), '' Nastik'' (1983), '' Mard'' (1985), '' Mr India'' (1987), ''Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja'' (1993) and '' Gumraah'' (1993), mostly playing roles as a non Indian henchman or Army General. Career Born in Sydney, Christo was a qualified Civil Engineer of Greek and German descent. He had two brothers, Helmut and Mike. Known for his brawny physique and bald-headed look, Bob arrived in Bombay, India whilst awaiting a work permit to Muscat, Oman. It was in Mumbai that he was introduced to Bollywood actress Parveen Babi, who helped him transition into Hindi films. ''Qurbani'' () is a 1980 Indian Hindustani action thriller film produced, directed by and starring Feroz Khan (under the banner of FK International). The film co-stars Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman, Amjad Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Aruna Irani, Amrish Puri and Kadar Khan. ''Qurbani'' was famous for its music, especially the Bollywood disco song "Aap Jaisa Koi" sung by Pakistani popstar Nazia Hassan and produced by Biddu, as well as the song "Laila O Laila". The film is based on the 1972 Italian action crime movie The Master Touch. The Wild Geese
''The Wild Geese'' is a 1978 war film directed by Andrew V. McLaglen and starring Richard Burton, Roger Moore, Richard Harris, and Hardy Krüger. The screenplay concerns a group of mercenaries in Africa. It was the result of a long-held ambition of its producer Euan Lloyd to make an all-star adventure film similar to '' The Guns of Navarone'' or ''Where Eagles Dare''. The producer and director would later make ''The Sea Wolves'' starring several cast members from this film. The screenplay by Reginald Rose was based on an unpublished novel titled '' The Thin White Line'' by Daniel Carney.
