Blackmagic (musician)
Efemena Mukoro, professionally known as Blackmagic, is a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter. He is known for his unique musical style and is considered a pioneer of the Nigerian alternative scene. Early life and education Mukoro is a native of Delta State but was born and raised in Lagos. He attended King's College, Lagos for his secondary education and studied computer science from the University of Benin. Career Mukoro dropped out of school to pursue his music career and started out under the stage name, Ejay. He was signed to Lynxxx's Syndik8 records in 2010 as a Soul and Afrobeat musician. He went on to release multiple singles and his debut album titled ''Blackmagic 1.0'' in 2011; he gained popularity with his single titled ''Confam'', which featured Sasha P. The Headies 2013
The Headies 2013 was the 8th edition of The Headies. It was held on 26 December 2013, at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos. The show was hosted by Tiwa Savage and Dr SID. Olamide was the biggest awardee of the night, winning three awards from seven nominations. Phyno won the Best Rap Single category for his song "Man of the Year". D'Tunes, Praiz, and Blackmagic all won for the first time. Sean Tizzle won the Next Rated category and was later awarded a Hyundai Tucson. Davido took home two awards, including Best R&B/Pop Album for ''Omo Baba Olowo''. Iyanya only received one award from five nominations. Sasha P (born Anthonia Yetunde Alabi on 21 May 1983), also known as the "First Lady of Nigerian Hip Hop", is a Nigerian rapper, musician, businesswoman, lawyer, and motivational speaker. Early life and education The last of eight children, she was raised by her single mother, an educator, whom she fondly called Sisi Fadekemi, after her father died. She began her musical career as a child in Ibadan. She attended the International School Ibadan and the University of Lagos earning a bachelor's degree in Law.
