Blachly, Oregon
Blachly is an unincorporated community in Lane County, Oregon, United States, on Oregon Route 36 in the Coast Range. Blachly lies along Lake Creek, about from Triangle Lake. Before the Blachly post office was established in 1892, area residents received their mail at the now-closed Franklin post office. The Blachly office was named for local resident William Blachly, who arrived in Oregon in 1854 from Illinois when he was 10 years old. He died on February 16, 1934. Blachly is served by the K–12 Triangle Lake School, the only school in Blachly School District. Lake Creek (Siuslaw River)
Lake Creek is a major tributary of the Siuslaw River in Lane County in the U.S. state of Oregon. On average, the long creek contributes about a third of the lower Siuslaw's water volume. Beginning near Prairie Mountain near the Lane– Benton county border in the Central Oregon Coast Range, Lake Creek flows generally southeast through the Siuslaw National Forest to the vicinity of Horton, then southwest through the communities of Blachly, Triangle Lake, Greenleaf, and Deadwood. It enters the Siuslaw River at Swisshome, by water from the larger stream's mouth on the Pacific Ocean at Florence. The map includes mile markers along Lake Creek and the Siuslaw River. Marty Wilde (politician)
Marshall "Marty" Wilde (born 1974) is an American politician from Oregon. A Democrat, he served in the Oregon House of Representatives where he represented District 11. This district included all or parts of Eugene, Creswell, Brownsville, rural Lane County, and rural Linn County. Wilde was first elected in 2018. Wilde retired from the legislature in 2022 to make an unsuccessful run for Circuit Court judge. Early life and career Wilde was raised on a small farm in Blachly, Oregon. Triangle Lake Charter School, formerly known as Triangle Lake School, is a K-12 public school in Blachly, Oregon, United States. It is the only school in the Blachly School District. In 2006 the school earned an "exceptional" rating from the Oregon Department of Education at all levels: elementary, middle school and high school. In April 2010, the Triangle Lake School Board of Directors voted to accept the proposal of the Triangle Lake Charter School Committee to make the school a charter school. Triangle Lake is an unincorporated community in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It is about west of Junction City on Oregon Route 36, on the southwest side of the lake of same name. Lake Creek, a tributary of the Siuslaw River, enters and exits the lake. Triangle Lake is closely linked to the unincorporated community of Blachly, on the northeast side of the lake, and the two communities share the K-12 Triangle Lake School, the only school in Blachly School District. Oregon Coast Range
The Oregon Coast Range, often called simply the Coast Range and sometimes the Pacific Coast Range, is a mountain range, in the Pacific Coast Ranges physiographic region, in the U.S. state of Oregon along the Pacific Ocean. This north-south running range extends over from the Columbia River in the north on the border of Oregon and Washington, south to the middle fork of the Coquille River.
