Triangle Lake, Oregon
Triangle Lake is an unincorporated community in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It is about west of Junction City on Oregon Route 36, on the southwest side of the lake of same name. Lake Creek, a tributary of the Siuslaw River, enters and exits the lake. Triangle Lake is closely linked to the unincorporated community of Blachly, on the northeast side of the lake, and the two communities share the K-12 Triangle Lake School, the only school in Blachly School District. Triangle Lake is served by the Blachly post office and the Pioneer Telephone Cooperative. Lake The lake has had various names over the years, including Loon Lake, Lake of the Woods, and Echo Lake, but the name Triangle Lake (after the lake's shape) became the official name in the early 1900s. Before Fern Ridge Reservoir was completed in 1941, the lake was the most popular local spot for water sports. Triangle Lake School
Triangle Lake Charter School, formerly known as Triangle Lake School, is a K-12 public school in Blachly, Oregon, United States. It is the only school in the Blachly School District. In 2006 the school earned an "exceptional" rating from the Oregon Department of Education at all levels: elementary, middle school and high school. In April 2010, the Triangle Lake School Board of Directors voted to accept the proposal of the Triangle Lake Charter School Committee to make the school a charter school. From the 2010-11 school year, it has been Triangle Lake Charter School. The school has 14 students to every teacher, five students fewer than the state average. Cutthroat Trout
The cutthroat trout is a fish species of the family Salmonidae native to cold-water tributaries of the Pacific Ocean, Rocky Mountains, and Great Basin in North America. As a member of the genus '' Oncorhynchus'', it is one of the Pacific trout, a group that includes the widely distributed rainbow trout. Fern Ridge Reservoir
Fern Ridge Reservoir (or Fern Ridge Lake) is a reservoir on the Long Tom River in the U.S. state of Oregon. The reservoir is located approximately west of Eugene on Oregon Route 126. The reservoir is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers flood control project encompassing more than and is a popular site for boating, fishing, and birdwatching.
