Biran Basnet (born 20 October 1994) is a Bhutanese professional association footballer, footballer, currently playing as a midfielder for Thimphu City F.C., Thimphu City in the Bhutan Super League and Bhutan national team. Club career Basnet began his career at Druk Star F.C., Druk Star, though given that they were not relegated from the A-Division (Bhutan), A-Division in 2010 A-Division (Bhutan), 2010 but did not partake in the 2011 A-Division (Bhutan), 2011 season, it is unclear what level of football he was playing. Punakha
Punakha ( dz, སྤུ་ན་ཁ་) is the administrative centre of Punakha dzongkhag, one of the 20 districts of Bhutan. Punakha was the capital of Bhutan and the seat of government until 1955, when the capital was moved to Thimphu. It is about 72 km away from Thimphu, and it takes about 3 hours by car from the capital, Thimphu. Unlike Thimphu, it is quite warm in winter and hot in summer. Changlimithang Stadium
Changlimithang Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan, which serves as the national stadium. It is predominantly used for association football, football matches and is the home of the Bhutan national football team, other national selections and number of Thimphu-based football clubs. The stadium also regularly plays host to women's football, archery tournaments, minifootball and some volleyball matches. The 2013 South Asian Football Federation Championship, commonly referred to as 2013 SAFF Championship, was the 10th SAFF Championship for men's national football teams organized by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). The tournament took place from 31 August to 11 September 2013, and was hosted by Nepal for the second time, with the previous being in 1997.
