Bingöl University () is a university located in Bingöl, Turkey. It was established in 2007. The University is led by Prof. Dr. İbrahim Çapak. Bingol University, Web of Science database, according to 2019 data, 108 state universities in terms of number of publications per faculty member in Turkey has a performance ranking #6 ranking. History Bingol University was founded as an institution which contributes to the higher education in the Turkish Republic. Initially the university consisted of 3 faculties, 2 institutes, and 2 vocational schools. Later on, the university expanded its activities to 10 faculties, 6 vocational schools, and 5 institutes. At the university, over 15'000 alumni attend classes at the undergraduate, bachelor and graduate level. Bingöl
Bingöl ( diq, Çolig; ku, Çewlik; hy, Ճապաղջուր, translit=Chapaghjur) is a city in Eastern Turkey and the capital of Bingöl Province. Etymology One of the historical names for the city, ''Bingöl'' literally means ''thousand lakes'' in Turkish; however, there aren't any lakes of considerable size within the boundaries of the Bingöl Province, province. The name rather refers to many Tarn (lake), tarns found around the city. HighBeam Research was a paid search engine and full text online archive owned by Gale, a subsidiary of Cengage, for thousands of newspapers, magazines, academic journals, newswires, trade magazines, and encyclopedias in English. It was headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. In late 2018, the archive was shut down. Günay Erdem (born 18 April 1978) is a Turkish Architect (graduated) and self-taught landscape architect. Günay Erdem together with his brother Sunay Erdem leads architectural and urban design practice Erdem Architects which they founded in 1998. Differently from majority of other architects and landscape architects Günay Erdem dissolves the boundaries of these two disciplines in his designs. Using this interdisciplinary approach Günay Erdem‘s both architectural and urban designs gains unique innovative characteristics. Sunay Erdem
Sunay Erdem (born 17 March 1971) is a Turkish landscape architect (by degree) and self-taught architect. He is one of Turkey's most prolific and best Landscape architects of his generation. Sunay Erdem founded Erdem Architects with his brother, Günay Erdem, in 1998. Sunay Erdem designed many urban design projects in more than 40 different countries. Erdem has been using free-hand sketching method since 1992 and he has more than 700 free-hand perspectives. His water colored sketch won the first prize i2013 Sketch Showdown Competition, Mixed Mediawhich was organized by Philadelphia Center for Architecture. He won Turkish National Architecture Award in the category Presentation of Ideas (2010).
