Bili Hendthi
''Bili Hendthi'' ( kn, ಬಿಳಿ ಹೆಂಡ್ತಿ) () is a 1975 Kannada movie, directed by Puttanna Kanagal, starring Aarathi, Loknath and Margaret Thomsen. Plot Sharada ( Arathi) who is affianced to a guy studying abroad, is extremely close with her future in-laws. However, when her fiancé returns, she finds out that he has married Elisa, a "white woman", and is no longer interested in her. Sharada assumes a larger-than-life good-Samaritan character, presumably the antithesis of a jilted lover, she becomes best friends with the 'white woman'. Elisa, on her part, wins over her family with her agreeable character and willingness to integrate into Indian society. Until she finds out that her husband has betrayed Sharada's love. Puttanna Kanagal
Shubraveshti Ramaswamiah Seetharama Sharma (1 December 1933 – 5 June 1985), known popularly as S. R. Puttanna Kanagal, was an Indian filmmaker known for his work in Kannada cinema. He is often considered one of Kannada cinema's most influential filmmakers. Background and personal life Puttanna Kanagal was born to Ramaswamaiah and Subbamma in Kanagal, Mysore, Kanagal, a village in the erstwhile Kingdom of Mysore into a poor family. Aarathi
Aarathi (born 1954) is an Indian actress who mainly acted in Kannada cinema, Kannada films during the 1970s and 1980s. She has won the Filmfare Awards South, Filmfare awards South and the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress four times each. After her retirement from films in the mid-1980s, she staged a comeback in 2005 as a director with ''Mithayi Mane'' which met with critical appreciation and also won her the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Children film, Karnataka State Film Award for Best Children's Film. Leelavathi (born Leela Kiran) is an Indian actress who worked in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films. She has acted in more than 600 films (more than 400 in Kannada alone) throughout her career for more than 50 years. She is known for her memorable performances in '' Bhakta Kumbara'' , ''Mana Mecchida Madadi'' and ''Santha Thukaram''. Vijaya Bhaskar
Vijaya Bhaskar ( kan, ವಿಜಯಭಾಸ್ಕರ್; 1924–2002) was an Indian music director and composer who composed music for several mainstream and experimental feature films in the Kannada film industry. Scoring music for over 600 feature films, Bhaskar worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Tulu and Konkani language films as well. He was a part of all of popular Kannada film director KSL Swamy's (Ravi) movies and was also known for his association with acclaimed directors Puttanna Kanagal and Adoor Gopalakrishnan. Uma Shivakumar (c. 1941 – 25 June 2013) was an Indian film and theatre character actress, who career included role in more than 170 Kannada language films and more than 30 plays. She was nicknamed "Baddi Bangaramma" by audiences, after the popular 1984 film of the same name, in which she portrayed a moneylender. Early life Uma was born in Bangalore. Vani Jairam (born as Kalaivani on 30 November 1945), also credited as Vani Jayaram, is an Indian singer. She is best known as a playback singer in South Indian cinema.
