Bhaktavatsalam Vidyashram
Bhaktavatsalam Vidyashram is a one of the best school in Chennai, Korattur, India. It was founded in 1989 and mainly follows the CBSE standard of education, though a separate Tamil Nadu state board certifies high schools. It is named after the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M. Bhaktavatsalam. The school has more than 3000 students. The Bhaktavatsalam memorial trust is chaired by Mrs. K. Maragathamani and Trustee Mr. S.G. Varun Krisana heads the institution. History Bhaktavatsalam Vidhyashram opened on 18 June 1990 with 770 students. Korattur
Korattur is situated in the western part of Chennai. It is a part of the Ambattur Zone of Chennai Corporation and located along the Chennai-Bangalore/Mumbai railroad about 12 km from the Chennai Central. It is developed with TNHB Layouts similar to Anna Nagar and the southern section of Korattur located near Padi is often considered to be an integral part of Anna Nagar. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a national level board of education in India for public and private schools, controlled and managed by the Government of India. Sarojini Varadappan
Sarojini Varadappan (21 September 1921 − 17 October 2013) was an Indian social worker from the state of Tamil Nadu. She was the daughter of former Chief Minister of Madras, M. Bhaktavatsalam. Early life Sarojini was born in Madras on 21 September 1921 to Bhaktavatsalam and Gnanasundarambal. Her father Bhaktavatsalam was a student at the Madras Law college when she was born. She studied till ninth standard at Lady Sivaswami Girls School when her education was discontinued. She studied Hindi through private home tuitions and completed her Visharadh. As her family objected to her travelling to an exam center to write her exams, her Prathmic exams were conducted at home. In her later years, she explained that her education was curtailed due to the conservativeness of her family. The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) is the national Scouting and Guiding association of India. The national headquarters of BSG is recognised by the Government of India.
