Betssy Chávez
Betssy Betzabet Chávez Chino (born 3 June 1989) is a Peruvian lawyer and politician, who served as prime minister of Peru from 26 November until 7 December 2022 when she resigned from office. She was Peru's seventh female prime minister. She has been a member of the Peruvian Congress since July 2021 and served as Minister of Culture from August 2022 to November 2022. She previously was Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, from October 2021 until May 2022, when a censure motion against her was approved. She later held the position of Minister of Culture, before being appointed prime minister. Chávez is the fifth Prime Minister to be appointed by President Pedro Castillo, which is seen by observers as a result of ongoing political instability. She announced her resignation on 7 December. Vladimiro Lenin Ilich Montesinos Torres (born 20 May 1945) is a former long-standing head of Peru's intelligence service, National Intelligence Service (SIN), under President Alberto Fujimori. In the year 2000, the infamous "Vladi-videos" came to light through the television: they were secret videos recorded by Montesinos that showed him bribing elected congressmen into leaving the opposition and joining the pro-Fujimori group of the Congress. The ensuing scandal caused Montesinos to flee the country and prompted Fujimori's resignation. Subsequent investigations revealed Montesinos to be at the centre of a vast web of illegal activities, including embezzlement, graft, gunrunning, and drug trafficking. Liz Patricia Benavides Vargas (born February 9, 1969) is a Peruvian lawyer. On June 20, 2022, she was elected as the Peruvian attorney general. Early life Benavides was born on February 9, 1969, in Huancavelica. Benavides studied law at the Universidad de Lima where she would receive her Bachelor of Laws degree. TikTok, known in China as Douyin (), is a short-form video hosting service owned by the Chinese company ByteDance. It hosts user-submitted videos, which can range in duration from 15 seconds to 10 minutes. TikTok is an international version of Douyin, which was released in the Chinese market in September 2016. It launched in 2017 for iOS and Android in most markets outside of mainland China; however, it became available worldwide only after merging with another Chinese social media service, Musical.ly, on 2 August 2018. 2021 Peruvian General Election
General elections were held in Peru on 11 April 2021. The presidential election, which determined the President of Peru, president and the Vice President of Peru, vice presidents, required a run-off between the two top candidates, which was held on 6 June. The congressional elections determined the composition of the Congress of the Republic of Peru, Congress of Peru, with all 130 seats contested.
