Democratic Peru
Democratic Peru ( es, Perú Democrático; PD) is a parliamentary group of the Congress of the Republic of Peru. Formed in January 2022, it brings together several congressmen from three parties. Being the first "minority", the group joined the government from February 2022. History On January 7, 2022, five former parliamentarians from Free Peru, We Are Peru and Popular Action asked the president of Congress, Maricarmen Alva, to create a parliamentary group. The first five members include Héctor Valer, Hamlet Echevarría, Carlos Zeballos, Luis Kamiche and Guillermo Bermejo. Free Peru
Free Peru ( es, Perú Libre), officially the Free Peru National Political Party ( es, Partido Político Nacional Perú Libre), is a Marxist political party in Peru. Founded in 2008 as the Free Peru Political Regional Movement, the party was officially constituted as a national organization in February 2012 by the name of Libertarian Peru. It was registered as a political party in January 2016 and adopted its current name, Free Peru, in January 2019. Its presidential candidate Pedro Castillo won the 2021 Peruvian general election against Popular Force nominee Keiko Fujimori. Guillermo Bermejo
Guillermo Bermejo Rojas (6 October 1975) is a Peruvian politician. He was elected for the Congress of Peru for the 2021-2026 period. Biography He studied law at the Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega. However, he did not finish his university studies. He worked as administrative assistant at the Andean Parliament in Lima from 2010 to 2011. Political career His political career began in the regional and municipal elections of 2002. Bermejo was a candidate for alderman of the Ate district for the American Popular Revolutionary Alliance. However, he was not elected. Nieves Limachi (born 31 July 1982) is a Peruvian architect and politician. She serves as a member of Congress. Biography She was born in Tacna on 17 February 1972. Betssy Betzabet Chávez Chino (born 3 June 1989) is a Peruvian lawyer and politician, who served as prime minister of Peru from 26 November until 7 December 2022 when she resigned from office.
