Berkeley County is located in the Shenandoah Valley in the Eastern Panhandle region of West Virginia in the United States. The county is part of the Hagerstown- Martinsburg, MD- WV Metropolitan Statistical Area. Hedgesville High School
Hedgesville High School is located in Hedgesville, West Virginia, United States. Enrollment is around 1,300. Its mascot is the Eagle, and its colors are blue and gold. History Hedgesville High School began as a one-room log schoolhouse in 1866. The building was torn down and a new brick building was erected in 1884. A new high school building was erected in 1976. In 2004, U.S. President George W. Bush visited the school. Athletics The school is involved in WSSAC Secondary Schools for sports affiliation. Martinsburg High School
Martinsburg High School is a public high school located in the upper Shenandoah Valley in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The school is an active member of the WVSSAC. The principal of the school is Trent Sherman. History and academics MHS struggled in the late 1960s due to budgetary constraints. The school had a different principal each year in 1968, 1969, and 1970, and did not have any cafeteria facilities on the premises. MHS graduated three National Merit Scholars in 1971. In 2011 Martinsburg High School became the 623rd official chapter of the Science National Honor Society. Musselman High School
Musselman High School is a class AAA high school in Inwood, West Virginia, United States. Inwood is in Berkeley County and just outside the city of Martinsburg, the largest city in the Eastern Panhandle. Musselman High School was established in 1949. Musselman High School was named for the C.H. Musselman Company, an apple processing plant and maker of Musselman's Applesauce. The mascot is the Applemen, a Red Delicious apple with large, muscular arms and legs and an aggressive facial expression. Marlowe Elementary School
Marlowe Elementary School was built in 1922 as an eight-room school to serve grades 1 through 8 in Marlowe, West Virginia. The new school allowed a number of one-room schools in the area to be closed. The Marlowe School is a two-story brick building on a concrete base. As originally built there were four rooms on each of the two main levels, with a cafeteria and mechanical rooms in the basement. Each classroom was provided with a coatroom. Windows were concentrated on the front and rear of the building with sparsely fenestrated ends. A central stairway serves all levels. The classrooms retain their original wood wainscoting and much of their original character. One story additions have been added to the rear from the 1970s on.
