High School Batu Pahat (HSBP) ( ms, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tinggi Batu Pahat (SMKTBP); abbreviated as Sekolah Tinggi Batu Pahat (STBP) also known as Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Tinggi Batu Pahat formally) is a secondary school for boys located in the town of Batu Pahat in the state of Johor, Malaysia. It was known as Government English School previously, but was changed to High School Batu Pahat after the independence of Malaysia. History High School was initially at a building in Jalan Zabedah (now the JKR building). Then it was relocated to land in Jalan Zaharah. The new building (now the Administration building) was built in 1918 and opened in 1919. Academic program The school offers basic and advanced secondary education courses. Hee Tien Lai
Datuk Dr. Hee Tien Lai (; 20 February 1941 – 21 February 2016) was a Malaysian politician of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), a component party of National Front or Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. Hee contested and won the Malaysia General Election 1974, 1978 and 1982 for the seat in Ayer Hitam, Johor to be Member of Parliament for three terms. He was one of the Deputy Speakers of the Dewan Rakyat from 14 June 1982 until 26 July 1983. Syed Esa Alwee
Dato' Syed Esa bin Alwee was a Malaysian politician. He was a prominent Malay leader during the British colonial period and the subsequent struggle for independence. He became the second Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, the lower house of the Malaysian Parliament in 1964. Syed Esa was also a Scout, and was Chief Commissioner of Scouts, the administrative head of the Malaysian Scouting Association, from 1963 to 1968. Mohd Noh Dalimin, BSc ( Gadjah Mada University) is a Professor of Physics (Energy and Materials).
