Batara Kresna Railbus
Batara Kresna Railbus ( id, Bus rel Batara Kresna) is a railbus service in Central Java, Indonesia that operates between Station in Surakarta and Station in Wonogiri Regency. It is operated by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) and is a cooperation project between the Surakarta city government and KAI, when the city was led by Joko Widodo. The service is the one of a few railbus service in Indonesia besides Lembah Anai railbus in West Sumatra and former Kertalaya railbus in South Sumatra. The railbus took its name from a character in Mahabharata, Krishna or Kresna who is tasked with saving the world and upholding the truth after the war in Kurukshetra. History ''Batara Kresna'' railbus was introduced to the public on 26 July 2011 and inaugurated by Indonesian Minister of Transport Freddy Numberi in Surakarta along with the city's double-decker tourist bus service. A railbus is a lightweight passenger railcar that shares many aspects of its construction with a bus, typically having a bus (original or modified) body and four wheels on a fixed base, instead of on bogies. Originally designed and developed during the 1930s, railbuses have evolved into larger dimensions, with characteristics similar in appearance to a light railcar, with the terms ''railcar'' and ''railbus'' often used interchangeably. Prambanan Express ( id, Prambanan Ekspres), commonly abbreviated as Pramex (in English) and Prameks (in Indonesian) is a commuter rail service that operates between Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta and Kutoarjo, Purworejo Regency, Central Java in Indonesia. The service, which first operated in 1994, covers a distance of about 64 kilometers and operates using diesel multiple unit trains. It was previously serving Yogyakarta–Solo for 26 years before it was electrified in 2021. Sukoharjo Regency
Sukoharjo Regency is a regency ( id, kabupaten) in the Central Java province in Indonesia. It covers an area of 466.77 km2 and had a population of 824,238 at the 2010 Census and 907,587 at the 2020 Census. Its capital is Sukoharjo, about 10 km south from Surakarta. This regency is bordered by the city of Surakarta in the north, Karanganyar Regency in the east, Wonogiri Regency and Yogyakarta in the south as well as Klaten Regency in the west. Batik Solo Trans
Batik Solo Trans (abbreviated BST) is a bus rapid transit system serving the city of Surakarta, Central Java. Launched in 2010, it currently operates 12 corridors. Summary Batik Solo Trans was launched on 1 September 2010 by then-mayor of Surakarta Joko Widodo. The service, which initially had only a single corridor and 38 stations, was expanded with its second corridor in 2014 and a third in 2018. In 2017, estimates place that 5,500-6,000 people used the first corridor daily, with another 3,500-4,000 in the second. The city's transportation board claimed that around 5,000 used the third corridor service daily. While it has some features of BRT systems, BST has low passenger throughput and lack a right of way in roads. There were 90 buses in service on 2021. Adisumarmo Airport Rail Link ( id, Kereta api Bandara Internasional Adisumarmo) is an airport rail link service in Central Java, Indonesia. The service was built to cut travel time from Surakarta city center to Adisumarmo International Airport. It is operated by Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) because its subsidiary KAI Bandara doesn't have stakes owned by Angkasa Pura I. The Adisumarmo ARS is the fourth airport rail link in Indonesia connecting passengers between the city centre and airport after Kualanamu ARS, Soekarno–Hatta ARS and Minangkabau ARS.
