Barcelona Moon Team
Barcelona Moon Team is a Spanish team led by Galactic Suite Design, which is participating in the Google Lunar X Prize. History Galactic Suite Design (GSD) is the lead company in a consortium of companies fielding the Barcelona Moon Team in the Google Lunar X Prize (GLXP) competition. GSD does so through a filial company, Galactic Suite Moon Race. BMT is the official candidate to the GLXP. The team is a multidisciplinary joint venture bringing together Spanish entrepreneurial, industrial and academic capabilities. The team also includes the Centre of Aerospace Technology in Barcelona ( CTAE), the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) or the international engineering advisory firm Altran. Galactic Suite Design is an aerospace design company based in Barcelona, Spain. The company develops concepts and designs for aerospace projects. The company became well known for its announcement of the Galactic Suite Space Resort, a cancelled plan to create an orbital space station. Google Lunar X Prize
The Google Lunar XPRIZE (GLXP), sometimes referred to as Moon 2.0, was a 2007–2018 inducement prize space competition organized by the X Prize Foundation, and sponsored by Google. The challenge called for privately funded teams to be the first to land a lunar rover on the Moon, travel 500 meters, and transmit back to Earth high-definition video and images. The original deadline was the end of 2014, with enhanced prize money for a landing by 2012. In 2015, XPRIZE announced that the competition deadline would be extended to December 2017 if at least one team could secure a verified launch contract by 31 December 2015. Altran
ALTRAN (ALgebraic TRANslator) is a programming language for the formal manipulation of rational functions of several variables with integer coefficients. It was developed at Bell Labs in 1960s. The Long March 2C (LM-2C), also known as the Chang Zheng 2C (CZ-2C), is a Chinese orbital launch vehicle, part of the Long March 2 rocket family. Developed and manufactured by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT), the Long March 2C made its first launch on 9 September 1982.
