Arnold Schönberg Center
The Arnold Schönberg Center, established in 1998 in Vienna, is a repository of Arnold Schönberg's archival legacy and a cultural center that is open to the public. Activities Archive and library, exhibitions, concerts, lectures, workshops and symposia make it possible to become familiar with Schönberg's world and that of his contemporaries. Schönberg's study with the original furniture and work tools can be viewed at the Center year-round. The Center publishes regularly, and in particular, produces the periodical Journal of the Arnold Schönberg Center. Austrian Theatre Museum
The Theatermuseum is a federal museum of national theatre history. Since 1991 it is situated in the Palais Lobkowitz in Vienna. History The museum has its origins in the theatre-related collections of the Austrian National Library, dating back to the late 17th century. In 1922 the theatrical collections were set up as a separate organisation, under the directorship of Joseph Gregor (1888-1960), who with his spectacular exhibition from the library holdings in the same year succeeded in attracting the gift of the enormous private collection of theatre items belonging to Hugo Thimig, director of the Burgtheater. In 1938, Stefan Zweig bequeathed his eminent collection of poets' and playwrights' autographs to the museum - before he had to flee the Nazis. The museum also holds one of the major bequests of Viennese Modernism: the bequest of writer Hermann Bahr. Palais Schönborn-Batthyány
Palais Schönborn-Batthyány is a Baroque palace in the Innere Stadt district of Vienna, Austria. It was built by Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach around 1699-1706 for count Adam Batthyány. In 1740, his widow sold the residence to the noble Schönborn family. Friedrich Karl von Schönborn had the interior redecorated. In 1801 the furniture and art collection of Schönborn's ''Garden Palace'' in Vienna-Josefstadt were brought here, among them Rembrandt's ''The Blinding of Samson ''The Blinding of Samson'' is a 1636 painting by Rembrandt, now in the Städel (in Frankfurt). Josefstadt (; Central Bavarian: ''Josefstod'') is the eighth district of Vienna (german: 8. Bezirk, Josefstadt). It was founded by Peter Konlechner and Peter Kubelka in 1964 as a non-profit organization.
