Bangi District
Bangi District is a district of Takhar Province, Afghanistan. Geography Bangi has an area of 566 square kilometers, comparatively equivalent to the area of Hitra Island. The district does have access to the highway linking Kunduz and Taloqan, which is a major road. Bangi has two tributaries of the Bangi River running through the district. One of them originates in Ishkamish District and the other originates in Khost wa Fereng District. They meet in Bangi District and run to the Khanabad River. There is one bridge over the Bangi river, which connects 15000 people with the district center. Before it was built, a portion of the district would be cut off from the rest for several months. Bangi is bordered by Dasht-e-Archi to the north, Baharak to the northeast, Taluqan to the east, Chal to the southeast, Ishkamish to the south, and Khanabad to the west. Taluqan District
Taluqan, ( prs, تالقان), is a district of Takhar Province, in northeastern Afghanistan. The city has a total population of 258,219 (2015) and has 6 Police districts (nahias). The total land area of the city is 10,744 Hectares while there are a total of 28,691 total number of dwellings. Taluqan is a trading and transit hub in northern Afghanistan. Although agriculture is the majority of land (55%), there are also 28,691 residential houses. Almost half the residential dwellings are concentrated in District 6. The Khanabad River flows through Taluqan and accounts for 7% of total land use. Hazaras
The Hazaras ( fa, , Həzārə; haz, , Āzərə) are an ethnic group and the principal component of the population of Afghanistan, native to, and primarily residing in the Hazaristan (Hazarajat) region in central Afghanistan and generally scattered throughout Afghanistan. They are one of the largest ethnic groups in Afghanistan, and are also significant minority groups in neighboring Pakistan, mostly in Quetta, and as well as in Iran. They speak the Hazaragi dialect of Persian, which is mutually intelligible with Dari, one of the two official languages of Afghanistan. Tajiks
Tajiks ( fa, تاجيک، تاجک, ''Tājīk, Tājek''; tg, Тоҷик) are a Persian-speaking Iranian ethnic group native to Central Asia, living primarily in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Tajiks are the largest ethnicity in Tajikistan, and the second-largest in Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. They speak varieties of Persian, a Western Iranian language. In Tajikistan, since the 1939 Soviet census, its small Pamiri and Yaghnobi ethnic groups are included as Tajiks. SIGAR
The name Sigar can refer to four people in Scandinavian mythology, surrounding the legends of Sigurd the dragon slayer. One of them only appears as the friend of Helgi Hjörvarðsson in the eddic lay ''Helgakviða Hjörvarðssonar''. The other two appear as the villainous members of the same clan in several sources. Icelandic sources Snorri Sturluson writes in the ''Skáldskaparmál'' that two Sigars belong to the same clan, the Siklings, and that they are the relatives of Siggeir, the villainous Geatish king in the ''Völsunga saga''. In ''Hversu Noregr byggðist'', it is given in more detail that Sigar the elder had two sons, Sigmund and Siggeir who killed Völsung. Sigmund had the son Sigar the younger, who killed Hagbard. It is told in the ''Völsunga saga'' that Sigar the younger was in a feud with Hagbard and Haki and his sons. The Uzbeks ( uz, , , , ) are a Turkic ethnic group native to the wider Central Asian region, being among the largest Turkic ethnic group in the area. Aqtash District
Aqtash District is a district in Kunduz Province, Afghanistan. It was not part of the 399 or 407 district sets, but is recognized in the 422 district set as a temporary district. It was split from Khanabad District in late 2015 after a visit from Ashraf Ghani, the president of Afghanistan. In 2019, only two polling centers were open in the district, with 277 votes cast.
