Bangaarada Panjara
''Bangaarada Panjara'' () is a 1974 Indian Kannada-language comedy film directed by debutant V. Somashekhar and co-produced by actor Raja Shankar. It starred Dr. Rajkumar in the lead role along with Aarathi, K. S. Ashwath, Pandari Bai and Lokanath. The movie saw a theatrical run of 25 weeks. The core plot of the movie is based on the Marathi play ''Ekta Jeev Sadashiv'' which had already been adapted into a 1972 Marathi movie ''Ekta Jeev Sadashiv'' starring Dada Kondke. ''Ekta Jeev Sadashiv'' is 1972 Marathi film directed by Govind Kulkarni and starring Dada Kondke and Usha Chavan as leads. It was remade in Hindi as ''Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain'' which was released in 2000. The core plot of the 1974 Kannada movie ''Bangaarada Panjara'' was thematically similar to this movie since it was also based on the Marathi play ''Ekta Jeev Sadashiv''. Vajramuni
Sadananda Sagar (11 May 1944 – 5 January 2006), better known by his stage name Vajramuni, was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada films. He portrayed negative characters during most of his career and was considered one of Kannada cinema's finest actors. Over his career, he came to be known for his "thundering voice and sterling performance that earned him the epithets, ''Nata Bhairava'' and ''Nata Bhayankara''. Bindu Nanubhai Desai (born 17 April 1941), better known mononymously as Bindu, is a former Indian actress who was popular in the 1970s. She has acted in over 160 movies in a career that spanned four decades, receiving seven Filmfare award nominations. Mysore Srinivas (17 April 1943 – 16 October 1995), known by his stage name Thoogudeepa Srinivas was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada films and is remembered for his portrayal of negative-shaded characters. He is the father of actor, Darshan and film director Dinakar. Early life Srinivas was born to Muniswami and Parvathamma in 1943 as their fourth son. He had eight siblings. He lost his parents at a young age. Right from his childhood days, Srinivas was interested in theatre and cinema and was a regular participant in his school and college plays. During one of these plays, he caught the eye of another theatre artist M. P. Shankar, whom he later went on to star with in many Kannada films.
