Shani Mahadevappa
Shani Mahadevappa (1933 – 3 January 2021) was an Indian actor in the Kannada film industry. His films include ''Shankar Guru'' (1978), ''Kaviratna Kalidasa (1983)'', '' Sri Srinivasa Kalyana'' (1974), '' Shivashankar'' (1990), ''Guru Brahma'' (1992). Career Mahadevappa first became a theatre actor and worked in many theatrical groups including Gubbi Veeranna's company. His role of Lord Shani in the play ''Shani Prabhava'' brought him wider recognition and he became known as ''Shani Mahadevappa''. Mahadevappa has been part of more than 500 movies in Kannada.his native is belakavadi malavalli taluk mandya dist.in his early acting career he played lots of dramas with great legend DR raj kumar all over karnataka Death Mahadevappa died from complications of COVID-19 in Bengaluru on 3 January 2021, at age 88, during the COVID-19 pandemic in India. ''Kaviratna Kalidasa'' () is a 1983 Kannada-language historical drama film based on the life of Kālidāsa, a renowned Classical Sanskrit writer of the 4th Century A.D. The film was written and directed by Renuka Sharma and produced by V. S. Govinda. The film stars Rajkumar, portraying the title role of Kalidasa, along with Jaya Pradha in the role of Vidyadhare and Srinivasa Murthy as Raja Bhoja. Onti Salaga
''Onti Salaga'' () is a 1989 Indian Kannada film, directed by V. Somashekar and produced by Halaguru Venkatesh. The film stars Ambarish, Tiger Prabhakar, Khushbu and Vajramuni in the lead roles. The film has musical score by Hamsalekha. Plot Forest officer Pratap (Tiger Prabhakar) manages to capture a gang of notorious criminals and saves Onti Salaga (lone tusker), which has almost drowned in a swamp. Kannada Cinema
Kannada cinema, also known as Sandalwood, or Chandanavana, is the segment of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Kannada language widely spoken in the state of Karnataka. The 1934 film ''Sati Sulochana'' directed by Y. V. Rao was the first talkie film in the Kannada language. It was also the first film starring Subbaiah Naidu and Tripuramba, and was the first motion picture screened in the erstwhile Mysore Kingdom.
