Banashankari
Banashankari, abbreviated as BSK, is a locality in South Bangalore. It gets its name from the Banashankari Amma Temple on Kanakapura Road, one of Bangalore's oldest and well known temples constructed by Subramanya Shetty in 1915. Banashankari is the largest locality in Bangalore, extending all the way from Mysore Road to Kanakapura Road. It is bound by Girinagar and Rajarajeshwari Nagar in the west, Basavangudi in the north, Jayanagar and J.P. Nagar in the east, and Padmanabhanagar, Kumaraswamy Layout, ISRO Layout, Vasanthapura and Uttarahalli in the south. Areas under Banashankari Banashankari is the only locality which has all the possible classifications – stage, phase and block. It is divided into six stages, with the sixth stage being the largest. This area under BBMP is recently seeing development. This is one of the rapidly growing areas in Bangalore. This makes it one of the most conservative places to live in Bangalore. Girinagar
Girinagar (formerly known as Writer's Colony) is a residential area in South West Bengaluru, very close to Mysore Road. This medium-sized locality is surrounded by Nayandahalli in the west, Byatarayanapura and Deepanjali Nagar in the north, Srinagar and Banashankari in the east and Hosakerehalli in the south. Etymology Girinagar was named after the former President of India V. V. Giri and also because of the Hirannayya Gudda (Hill). Giri in Sanskrit means hill. Padmanabhanagar
Padmanabhanagar is a posh residential locality in South Bangalore, India, covering an area of 1.68 km2 It's one of the zones of BBMP. Padmanabhanagar has a very famous park called Lakshmikanta Park. This park houses Lakshmi Kantha temple. It was looked after by residents association, in 2018 the corporator allotted funds and developed it further. The park was eyed for its medicinal trees and was sanctioned to be cut down completely and set up a landscaped area but the senior citizens of the locality who nurtured the park protested and stopped it. It is surrounded by Kumaraswamy Layout, Gowdanapalya, Chennamanakere, Kathriguppe, Kadirenahalli, Uttarahalli and Chikkakalasandra. It is a constituency in the Karnataka legislative assembly. Jayanagar, Bangalore
Jayanagar (officially Jayanagara) is a residential and commercial neighbourhood in Bangalore, India. It is one of the zones of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike. It is sub-divided into seven wards.
