Péter Balázs
Péter Balázs (, born 5 December 1941) is a Hungarian politician who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2009 to 2010. In addition to his native Hungarian, he speaks English, French, German and Russian. He graduated from Budapest School of Economics in 1963 and worked in the Hungarian government until 1 May 2004, when his country joined the European Union and was appointed to the European Commission with Michel Barnier under Romano Prodi. He became the Hungarian European Commissioner holding the Regional Policy portfolio until the end of the Prodi Commission on 21 November 2004. He was succeeded by László Kovács as the Hungarian Commissioner and Danuta Hübner as Commissioner for regional policy. Balázs Dzsudzsák (; born 23 December 1986) is a Hungarian professional footballer who plays for Nemzeti Bajnokság I club Debreceni VSC. Dzsudzsák began his career at his hometown club Debreceni VSC, winning consecutive league titles in each of his three seasons before departing to PSV of the Netherlands in January 2008, ending the season with the Eredivisie title. Balázs Borbély (born 2 October 1979) is a former professional footballer. His former clubs were TJ Družstevník Vrakúň, FC ŠTK 1914 Šamorín and AEL Limassol. At international level, he represented Slovakia. Balázs Taróczy ( hu, Taróczy Balázs; born 9 May 1954) is a retired tennis player from Hungary. The right-hander won 13 singles titles in his career, and achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 12 in April 1982. Tennis career Taróczy was six times a Hungarian national champion. One of the game's premier doubles players, Balazs and partner Heinz Günthardt won the 1985 Wimbledon doubles title. He is the 1996 Olympic champion and the 1998 European Championships silver medalist, and has two fourth places from World Championships. Balázs Orbán, Baron of Lengyelfalva (3 February 1829 – 19 April 1890) was a Hungarians, Hungarian author, ethnographic collector, parliamentarian, correspondent member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (1887). Peter Balazs (born 11 December 1970 in Tulln an der Donau) is an Austrian mathematician working at the Acoustics Research Institute, Acoustics Research Institute Vienna of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Peter Balazs studied mathematics and physics at the University of Vienna. In 2001, he graduated with honors in mathematics and an MSc thesis on "Polynomials over Groups" ("Polynome über Gruppen").
