The Bahraini Premier League, also known as the Zain Basketball League, is a professional basketball league in Bahrain. The league consists of 13 teams. Manama Club is the most decorated team in league history, having won 21 titles including for five consecutive seasons, from 2012-13 to 2017-18. Al-Ahli ranks second with 20 national championships. The Basketball Bahrain Association Cup, commonly known as the BBA Cup, is the cup competition for men's professional basketball teams in Bahrain. The cup competition was first held in the 2019–20 season, although there has been another Bahraini Cup competition as well. Manama Club (basketball)
Manama Club, also known as Al Manama, is a Bahraini professional basketball team based in Manama. They play in the Bahraini Premier League and are the most decorated team in national basketball history, having won a record 24 championships, 18 Cup titles, and 5 Super Cup titles. Currently, Manama also plays in the West Asia Super League (WASL), which they won in 2023. Manama plays in the BBA Arena, which is also known as the Zain Basketball Arena. In the 2022–23 season, Manama played in the inaugural West Asia Super League under the guidance of coach Linos Gavriel. On 17 June 2023, they won the WASL championship after they defeated Kuwait Club in the final in Dubai. Because they also won the Premier League and Cup, they won their first treble. Al-Ahli Club of Manama ( ar, النادي الأهلي البحريني) is a Bahraini sports club based in the capital city of Manama. They used to play in the top division in Bahraini football but were relegated to the second division after finishing ninth in the 2011–12 First Division league. The club also fields players in other sports such as basketball, handball and volleyball. Manama Club ( ar, المنامة) is a Bahraini professional football club, founded in 1946 and based in Manama, that competes in the Bahraini Premier League, the top flight of Bahraini football. Manama Club, formally known as Al Taj, is a well-known basketball club in the Gulf and Asia. They have two Gulf Championships, and were the first-ever Bahraini club and second-ever Gulf club to come in third place in the 2000 ABC Champions Cup. Al-Muharraq Sports Club ( ar, نادي المحرق الرياضي) is a Bahraini professional football club based in Muharraq. It is one of the oldest sports clubs in the Arabian Peninsula.
