Al-Bahrain Sports Club (), otherwise simply known as Bahrain, is primarily a Bahraini football club based in the island-governorate of Al-Muharraq. Their football team plays in the Bahraini Second Division. Their home football stadium is the Al Muharraq Stadium, which they share along with their local island rivals, Al-Muharraq Sports Club. Muharraq ( ar, المحرق, al-Muḥarraq) is Bahrain's third largest city and served as its capital until 1932 when it was replaced by Manama. The population of Muharraq in 2012 was 176,583. The city is located on Muharraq Island. Bahrain International Airport is also located on the island. Bahraini Premier League
The Bahraini Premier League is the main football competition in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Currently known as the Nasser bin Hamad Premier League, the first season was held in 1957. The winners of the domestic championship qualify for the AFC Cup. The championship is currently contested by 12 clubs. Structure Current structure 12 clubs currently play a two round robin set of fixtures totaling 22 games in order to determine the league champions. Although games are played on a home and away basis, almost all games are played at the National Stadium. The AFC Champions League (abbreviated as ACL) is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation, and contested by Asia's top-division football clubs. It is the most prestigious club competition in Asian football, played by the national league champions (and, for some nations, one or more runners-up) of their national associations. The Asian Cup Winners' Cup was an association football competition run by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Rachid Ghaflaoui (Arabic: رشيد الغفلاوي; born January 1, 1973) is a Moroccan football coach. He is the current coach of the Libyan club Al Ta'awon SC which plays in the Libyan Championship. Career Born in Marrakech in Morocco, Ghaflaoui was appointed in 2014 as coach of Nigerien club Sahel SC, before joining Congolese club Sanga Balende in February 2016, which he managed to qualify for the Confederation Cup by finishing third place of the Congolese champion.
