Baha Mar
Baha Mar is a resort complex on the island of New Providence in The Bahamas. Owned by Hong Kong-based Chow Tai Fook Enterprises, the establishment opened in April 2017. The amenities include three hotels (a Grand Hyatt, SLS Baha Mar, and the Rosewood) with a total of 2,200 rooms, 284 private residences, a casino, a spa, and a Tournament Players Club golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus. On 30 March 2010 an agreement on the redevelopment of the resort was announced between a local Bahamas based investor and the government, in order to help revitalize Cable Beach, the most popular beachfront destination on New Providence Island. Nassau ( ) is the capital and largest city of the Bahamas. Tournament Players Club (TPC) is a chain of public and private golf courses operated by the PGA Tour. Most of the courses either are or have been hosts for PGA Tour events, with the remainder having frequently hosted events on the Korn Ferry Tour or PGA Tour Champions. Cable Beach is a beach, resort destination, and populated place on the northern coast of New Providence Island in the Bahamas west of Nassau. It spans two and a half miles. It is home to Pompey Market. History It is said Cable Beach owes its name to an 1892 submarine telegraph cable linking Jupiter, Florida to Goodman's Bay.
