''Back In Luv is a DVD compilation by Dutch girl group Luv'. It includes TV performances of the original line-up recorded during their heyday (1977 - 1980). It was released by Princess Entertainment in 2006 when Luv's schedule was hectic again as the pop formation had reunited. Background When the double CD compilation '' 25 Jaar Na Waldolala'' came out in late 2003, a DVD was supposed to be released simultaneously. However, Luv' singer Patty Brard vetoed this video collection because of her right of publicity and her conflict with another member of the group (José Hoebee). Luv'
Luv' were a Dutch girl group that scored a string of hit records in Continental Europe (Benelux, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain, Denmark, Norway and Finland) as well as Israel, South Africa, Rhodesia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Argentina and Mexico in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The original members were Patty Brard, José Hoebee and Marga Scheide. In 1979, Luv' was 'Holland's best export act' and thus received the 'Buma Export Award, Conamus Export Prize'. The band sold more than seven million records worldwide (singles and albums). ''TopPop'' is the first regular dedicated pop music television series in the Dutch language area. The Netherlands broadcaster AVRO aired the programme weekly, from 22 September 1970, to 27 June 1988. Presenter Ad Visser hosted for its first fifteen years. The creator and original director of ''TopPop'' was Rien van Wijk. "My Man" is the debut single by the Dutch girl group Luv', released in May 1977 by Philips/Phonogram Records. It appears on the 1978 album With Luv'. Background The song is Luv's very first commercially available single. In 1976, producers and songwriters Hans van Hemert and Piet Souer first recorded the music of a self-penned composition entitled "My Man" and were looking for female vocalists. They recruited José Hoebee, Marga Scheide and Patty Brard to form the girl group Luv'. The lyrics of this ABBA-esque track dealt with the death of a railroad man. ''Der Musikladen'' (german: The Music Shop) was a West German music television programme that ran from 13 December 1972 to 29 November 1984. The show continued the 1960s ''Beat-Club'' under a new name, and in turn was replaced by ''Extratour''. History Around 90 episodes were aired, plus 59 as ''Musikladen extra'' with most being made in the period between 1974 and 1979. All episodes were produced by Radio Bremen and directed by Michael Leckebusch.
