Babubhai Bokhiria
Babubhai Bokhiria (born 12 March 1953) is an Indian politician and member of BJP. He was twice elected as an MLA in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly in 2012 and 2017. Education Babubhai Bokhiria holds a B.Sc. in chemistry from Saurashtra University, which he graduated from in 1974. MLA He was twice elected as an MLA in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly in 2012 and 2017 from Porbandar Assembly constituency. He was a member of the Council of Ministers of Gujarat in 13th Gujarat Legislative Assembly of the Indian state of Gujarat. Between 7 August 2016 and 26 December 2017 he held the post of cabinet minister of Water Resources (except Kalpsar project), Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Cow protection in the 13th Gujarat Legislative Assembly. Porbandar district is one of the 33 districts of Gujarat state in western India. The district covers an area of 2,316 km2. It had a population of 5.85,449 of which 48.77% were urban as of 2011 census This district was carved out of Junagadh District. It lies on the Kathiawar peninsula. 2022 Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election
Legislative Assembly election was held in Gujarat from 1 to 5 December 2022 in two phases, to elect 182 members of 15th Gujarat Legislative Assembly. The votes were counted and the results were declared on 8 December 2022. The Bharatiya Janata Party, won a huge majority of 156 seats, the most ever won by any party in Gujarat's history. The Indian National Congress fell to its lowest count in the state for 3 decades, and the newcomer Aam Aadmi Party gained five seats. Arjun Modhwadia is an Indian National Congress politician from Porbandar Gujarat, India. He was the Leader of the Opposition in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from 2004 to 2007. He had been a president of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC), the Gujarat wing of Indian National Congress from 2 March 2011 to 20 December 2012. Early life and career Arjun Modhwadia was born at Modhwada, a village near Porbandar, on 17 February 1957. His schooling was at government primary school of the village. He graduated with a mechanical engineering degree from Lukhdhirji Engineering College in Morbi.
