B2ST
Highlight (Korean: ) is a South Korean boy band formerly known as Beast (Korean: 비스트). The band consists of four members: Yoon Doo-joon, Yang Yo-seob, Lee Gi-kwang, and Son Dong-woon. Originally a six-piece band, Jang Hyun-seung departed from the group in April 2016, and Yong Jun-hyung departed in March 2019. In late 2016, the group moved labels from Cube Entertainment to Around Us Entertainment and subsequently changed their name to Highlight in 2017. The group debuted in 2009 with the EP ''Beast Is the B2ST''. In 2011, they released their first full-length album, ''Fiction and Fact'', and made their Japanese debut with the single, " Shock". As Beast, the group released three Korean full-length albums, nine Korean extended plays, two Japanese full-length albums, and numerous singles. ''Beast Is the B2ST'' (Beast Is the Best) is the debut extended play by South Korean boy band Beast (South Korean band), Beast. It was released by Cube Entertainment on October 14, 2009 and contains five songs, including the singles "Bad Girl (Beast song), Bad Girl" and "Mystery". The album was a commercial success, selling over 40,000 copies. Yoon Doo-joon
Yoon Doo-joon (born July 4, 1989), better known mononymously as Doojoon, is a South Korean singer and actor. He is the leader of the South Korean boy group Highlight. Early life Yoon Doo-joon was born in Goyang, South Korea on July 4, 1989. His dream of becoming a high school Physical Education teacher changed suddenly during his second year of high school after watching MTV's ''Big Bang Documentary''. His parents and teachers didn't agree with him at first, though he pleaded with them to register him for music school and he soon started auditioning to become a singer. Jang Hyun-seung
Jang Hyun-seung (; born September 3, 1989) most often credited as Hyunseung, is a South Korean singer. He is best known as a former member of the boy group Beast. With Beast, he has released singles and albums in both Korean and Japanese. Beast won the Artist of the Year (Daesang) award at the Melon Music Awards in 2011. Hyunseung was also one half of the duo Trouble Maker with former Cube label mate, Hyuna. Yang Yo-seob (born January 5, 1990), more commonly known as Yoseob, is a South Korean singer and musical actor. He is the main vocalist of the boy group Highlight. Biography Yang was born in Seoul, South Korea on January 5, 1990, in a small family with one older sister, Yang Hae-yeon. His name Yoseob was the Hanja version of the name Joseph, which was later sinicized by the decision of his grand father. He first gained interest in music and started practicing singing after listening to Brian McKnight's music. ''Shock of the New Era'' is the second EP played by South Korean boy band Beast, and was released by Cube Entertainment on March 1, 2010. The songs were written and composed by Shin Sa-dong Tiger and Lee Sang-ho who crafted Beast's previous singles like "Bad Girl" and "Mystery". Son Dong-woon
Son Dong-woon (; born June 6, 1991), known mononymously as Dongwoon, is a South Korean singer. He is a member of the boy group Highlight (formerly known as Beast). Biography Son Dong-woon was born in Busan, South Korea, on June 6, 1991. His father, Son Il-rak, is a professor at Cheongju University. Dong Woon stated in an interview and in the KBS show ''Win Win'' that he studied in Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines. Yong Jun-hyung (Hangul: 용준형; born Yong Jae-soon on December 19, 1989), commonly known as Junhyung, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer and actor.
