Büyük Teklif ( Turkish for "big offer") is the Turkish version of Deal or No Deal that airs on Kanal D. Hosted by Halit Ergenç, it was broadcast between June 5 and December 11, 2006. The amounts go from as little as 1 kuruş to as big as 500,000 Turkish lira (about US$350,000, €270,000, and £178,000). Kanal D's website reveals that the set is quite similar to the US counterpart, as with many other post-2005-launched versions of the show. Case values See also * Var mısın? Deal Or No Deal
''Deal or No Deal'' is the name of several closely related television game shows, the first of which (launching the format) was the Dutch ''Miljoenenjacht (Netherlands), Miljoenenjacht'' (''Hunt/Chase for Millions''). The centerpiece of this format is the final round (a.k.a. the "case game" or "main game" ) which is played with up to 26 cases (or, in some versions, boxes), each containing randomly assigned sums of money. After the player for the case game is determined, this contender claims (or is assigned) one case or a box at the start of the game, without its contents being revealed. The contestant then chooses the other cases or boxes, one at a time, to be immediately opened and removed from play. Kanal D
Kanal D, also known as Channel D, is a nationwide television channel in Turkey and part of Demirören Group. It was founded by Ayhan Şahenk and Aydın Doğan in 1993. The network also runs an international channel, Euro D which is available online, and had the first high definition channel in Turkey, Kanal D HD. The text 'KANAL D' is not displayed in its Turkish broadcast. Halit Ergenç (; born 30 April 1970) is a Turkish actor known for his role as Sultan Suleiman I in ''Muhteşem Yüzyıl,'' Onur Aksal in ''Binbir Gece'' and Cevdet in ''Vatanim Sensin''. Biography Halit Ergenç was born as the son of Yeşilçam-era actor Mehmet Sait Ergenç on 30 April 1970 in Istanbul. His maternal grandmother is of Albanian descent. Var mısın? Yok musun? was a Turkish adaptation of the game show ''Deal or No Deal''. Produced by Acun Ilıcalı for Show TV, the show aired between September 10, 2007 and October 31, 2009 and in the second half of 2010. From 2007 to 2009, 350 episodes aired. There were 24 boxes containing prizes from 1 TL to 500,000 TL. The set was similar to the French version, but the theme music and the graphics were similar to the US version. The offers were made by "Hamdi Bey", a fictitious character portrayed as a banker; although in February 2008 it was claimed that "Hamdi Bey" was in fact a studio assistant to one of Acun Ilıcalı's former shows, and his name was not Hamdi but Birol; but Acun Ilıcalı dismissed the claims. A New Year's Eve special was aired on December 31, 2007. The set was nearly identical to the US version. Show TV is a nationwide television channel in Turkey owned by Albayrak Holding since 2018, acquired from Sadık Albayrak which in turn seized from Ciner Media Group after Turgay Ciner was forced to sell due to tax debts.
