Bützow Station
Bützow station is in the city of Bützow in the district of Rostock in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is served in local and long-distance services. It is on the Bad Kleinen–Rostock railway and is the starting point of the line to Szczecin. Location and facilities The station is located 1.7 km southeast of the city centre near the Warnow valley on state highway 11. To its north-east the railway crosses the Bützow–Güstrow canal in its last metres before its confluence with the Warnow river. The impressive entrance building was built in the style of the Renaissance Revival style in 1879. It has two two-storey towers and a one-story central section with a central projection. It lies west of the line. Track 1 is located directly next to the building and tracks 2 and 3 are on an island platform, which can be reached by a pedestrian tunnel. Both platforms are covered. Bützow
Bützow is a town in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in north-eastern Germany, centered on Bützower See. History The town was first mentioned in 1171. From 1815 to 1918 Bützow was part of the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, from 1871 within the German Empire. From 1933 to 1945, during Nazi rule and World War II, a Nazi prison was operated in the Dreibergen district with multiple forced labour subcamps located in various places in the region. After the war, the town was part of East Germany until 1990. On 5 May 2015, the town was struck by an F3 tornado which caused severe damage to many buildings, including the local hospital. Culture Medieval Bützow Castle is located in Bützow. The town also has a medieval Brick Gothic church, which contains an altarpiece made by the Master of the Bützow Altarpiece (1503). Stralsund Central Station
Stralsund Hauptbahnhof is the main station in Western Pomerania and the main station for railway lines running to Hamburg, Bergen auf Rügen and Berlin in the German Hanseatic city of Stralsund. Schwerin Central Station
Schwerin Hauptbahnhof is the main railway station of the capital of the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is located in the northwest of the central city. It includes four tracks on two platforms and a siding west of the fourth track. Currently the station is used by about 12,000 passengers a day. Building The station building was built in 1889 and 1890 to a design by E. Müller in the style of the Gründerzeit. The main hall has two lower links connecting to corner pavilions.
