Bye Bye Patty
''Bye Bye Patty'' is the first live album by Italian singer Patty Pravo, released in 1997 by Epic Records. Overview The material was recorded live between 16 and 24 January 1997 during concerts in Bergamo, Milan, Florence and Rome. It consists of sixteen songs, most of which come from the earliest years of Pravo's career. The only studio recording is the opening track " ...E dimmi che non vuoi morire" which Patty performed at the 47th Sanremo Music Festival in February 1997 and won the critics' award. The song was released as the first single and met with commercial success. A new, rock-influenced version of "Pensiero stupendo" was performed as an encore, followed by nearly two minutes of silence and a secret recording in which a little girl named Federica sings the chorus of "...E dimmi che non vuoi morire". Patty Pravo
Patty Pravo (born Nicoletta Strambelli on 9 April 1948) is an Italian singer. She debuted in 1966 and remained most successful commercially for the rest of the 1960s and throughout the 1970s. Having suffered a decline in popularity in the following decade, she experienced a career revival in the late 1990s and reinstated her position on Italian music charts. Her most popular songs include "La bambola" (1968), " Pazza idea" (1973), " Pensiero stupendo" (1978) and " ...E dimmi che non vuoi morire" (1997). She scored fourteen top 10 albums (including three number ones) and fourteen top 10 singles (including two number ones) in her native Italy. Pazza Idea
"Pazza idea" (Italian for "Crazy Idea") is an Italian ballad composed by Maurizio Monti and Giovanni Ullu, with lyrics written by Paolo Dossena and Cesare Gigli. It was originally performed by Italian singer Patty Pravo and released as a single from the album of the same name in 1973. The song reached no. 1 in the Italian singles chart and stayed at the top for nine consecutive weeks between August and October 1973. It also charted in Belgium and the Netherlands, thus becoming Patty's second international hit. "Pazza idea" was the second best-selling single of 1973 in Italy and remains one of the biggest hits of Patty Pravo's career. The music video for the song was filmed in Forte dei Marmi and London. The singer has recorded the track in Spanish as "Una locura", in English as "Crazy Idea", and in German as "Was für ein Tag". The European Top 100 Albums chart was the European adaptation of the ''Billboard'' 200 albums chart. It ran from March 1984 until December 2010. Also commonly referred to as Eurochart Top 100 Albums, the chart showcased the sales of an act in 19 European countries based on IFPI data. The European Top 100 combined album sales (both retail and digital) of new and older albums. The methodology was different from the US ''Billboard'' 200, where albums would only be allowed to chart if they weren't 18 months old. If an album older than 18 months had enough sales to enter the 200 chart after having already dropped out of the 100th position, it would chart on The ''U.S. Billboard'' Catalog Albums. "My Way" is a song popularized in 1969 by Frank Sinatra set to the music of the French song "Comme d'habitude" composed by Jacques Revaux with lyrics by Gilles Thibaut and Claude François and first performed in 1967 by Claude François.
