Anton Julius (Ton) Butter (10 January 1920 – 1989) was a Dutch economist, Associate Professor the Department of Economics of the University of Amsterdam and deputy director of SEO Economic Research. Biography Butter was born in Amsterdam and received his MA in economics at the University of Amsterdam, where he started working as research assistant, and later assistant professor and associate professor at the Department of Economics. He was also researcher at the Foundation for Economic research, later SEO Economic Research, where from 1975 till 1977 he was deputy director as successor of Joop Klant. Late 1960s Butter published his first articles in '' De Economist''. In the 1970s and 1980s he further published multiple reports about his economic research projects for SEO Economic Research. John Butter, M.D. (1791–1877) was an English ophthalmic surgeon. Life Born at Woodbury, Devon, on 22 January 1791, he was educated at Exeter grammar school, and studied for the medical profession at Devon and Exeter Hospital. He obtained the M.D. degree at the University of Edinburgh in 1820, and was chosen a fellow of the Royal Society in 1822. Michel Butter
Michel Butter (born 5 November 1985) is a Dutch long-distance runner. He was the silver medallist over 10,000 metres at the 2007 European Athletics U23 Championships and represented his country at the 2008 European Cross Country Championships, coming ninth in the senior men's race. Butter was the winner of the Tilburg Warandeloop in 2008 and won the half marathon at the 2009 Berenloop road race. He was 16th in the race at the 2010 European Cross Country Championships. He made his marathon debut at the 2011 Utrecht Marathon and won on his first attempt with a time of 2:17:35 hours. The race was reduced to a national level event that year as prize money was directly solely to Dutch runners. He significantly improved his best time at the 2011 Amsterdam Marathon, where his time of 2:12:59 hours brought him the Dutch national title and 15th position overall. At the 2012 Boston Marathon, he was seventh and the top European in a race slowed by hot conditions.

Nathaniel Butter
Nathaniel Butter (died 22 February 1664) was a London publisher of the early 17th century. The publisher of the first edition of Shakespeare's ''King Lear'' in 1608, he has also been regarded as one of the first publishers of a newspaper in English. Beginnings Nathaniel Butter was the son of a Thomas Butter, a bookseller; the son followed the father's profession. Nathaniel became a "freeman" (a full member) of the Stationers Company on 20 February 1604, and registered his first title before the end of that year. In his career, Butter concentrated on bookselling and publishing; as was a common practice in his era, he commissioned printers to print his books, and worked with most of the printers of his generation. Drama ''King Lear'' was entered into the Stationers' Register on 26 November 1607, by Butter and colleague John Busby. Wesley Paul Butters (born 4 May 1979, in Salford), is a radio broadcaster, formerly of BBC Radio 1, and writer.
