Busch is an extinct town in Pike County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The GNIS classifies it as a populated place. A post office called Busch was in operation from 1886 until 1948. Pike County, Missouri
Pike County is a county on the eastern border of the U.S. state of Missouri, bounded by the Mississippi River. As of the 2010 census, the population was 18,516. Its county seat is Bowling Green. Its namesake was a city in middle Kentucky, a region from where many early migrants came. The county was organized December 14, 1818, and named for explorer Zebulon Pike. The folksong " Sweet Betsy from Pike" is generally thought to be associated with Pike County, Missouri. Pike County is said to be the home of Momo (The Missouri Monster). The Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) is a database of name and locative information about more than two million physical and cultural features throughout the United States and its territories, Antarctica, and the associated states of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau. It is a type of gazetteer.
