Bungkaih Railway Station
Bungkaih Station (BKH) is a class III railway station located in Keude Bungkaih, Muara Batu, North Aceh Regency, bordering with Ulee Madon. The station, which is located at an altitude of +7 meters, is included in the Regional Division I North Sumatra and Aceh. The station was inaugurated on 1 December 2013 as part of a railway reconstruction project in Aceh that was decommissioned in the 1970s. For the initial phase, a railway line was built that connecting Krueng Geukueh with Krueng Mane along 11 km. North Aceh Regency
North Aceh Regency ( id, Kabupaten Aceh Utara) is a List of regencies and cities of Indonesia, regency in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (Aceh Special District), in Indonesia. It is located on the island of Sumatra. The regency covers an area of 3,236.86 square kilometres and had a population of 534,085 at the 2010 census and 602,793 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 608,106. The administrative centre is now at Lhoksukon; this followed the separation in 2001 of the former capital of Lhokseumawe, which was cut out of the regency by Law No. 2 of 2001 on 21 June 2001 to form an independent city. A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. Cut Meutia (train)
The ''Cut Meutia'' is a passenger train service currently operating in Aceh, Indonesia. It was opened in 2016 and currently serves five railway stations in North Aceh and Bireuën Regencies. It is the only operational train service in Aceh. History Railways had been operational in Aceh since the Dutch East Indies era, linking Banda Aceh to Langkat in North Sumatra. The line ceased operations in 1982, however, leaving Aceh without operational train services and existing stations and railways deteriorating. In 1996, an attempt to develop tracks between Langkat and Aceh's provincial border ceased due to funding difficulties after laying 2 kilometers of track. Another section measuring 5 kilometers were developed in 2000, but again development ceased due to lack of funds.
