Expo/Bundy station is an elevated light rail station in the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system. It is located at the intersection of Bundy Drive and Exposition Boulevard in West Los Angeles, California. It serves the Metro E Line. Olympic Boulevard (formerly 10th Street) is a major arterial road in Los Angeles, California. It stretches from Ocean Avenue on the western end of Santa Monica to East Los Angeles—farther than Wilshire Boulevard and most other streets. The E Line (formerly the Expo Line from 2012–2019) is a light rail line that runs between Downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica. An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks.
