Bukit Purmei
Bukit Purmei is a small housing estate within Bukit Merah planning area in Singapore, near Telok Blangah estate. Bukit Purmei consists of 15 HDB blocks, private apartments and landed property. Within the estate, there is Bukit Purmei Hillock Park, a Chinese temple, a church, a small Malay-Muslim cemetery and a Malay shrine called ''Keramat Bukit Kasita.'' The roads serving the estate are Bukit Purmei Ave, Bukit Purmei Rd and Bukit Teresa Rd. The name means "Serene Hill" in Malay. The word "Purmei" is an older spelling of the standard Malay "Permai" ("serene"). Amenities There are various shops at the void deck and bus stops in front of the blocks at the neighbourhood centre along Bukit Purmei Avenue. There are also two coffee shops, a 7-Eleven store, two clinics, a Chinese medicinal shop, and a Mega Value shop at the neighbourhood centre. Bukit Merah, also known as Redhill, is a planning area and new town situated in the southernmost part of the Central Region of Singapore. the planning area borders Tanglin to the north, Queenstown to the west and the Downtown Core, Outram and Singapore River planning areas of the Central Area to the east. Telok Blangah (, ta, தெலுக் பிளாங்கா) is a subzone region and housing estate located in the area behind Keppel Harbour in Bukit Merah, Singapore. ''Teluk Blanga'' is the district between Pasir Panjang and Tanjong Pagar. Name The region is named after the bay. Bukit Merah Bus Interchange
Bukit Merah Bus Interchange is a bus interchange located in the Bukit Merah Town Centre, along Bukit Merah Central in Bukit Merah, Singapore. The interchange serves the nearby residential estates of Telok Blangah and Bukit Purmei and also the commercial buildings in Bukit Merah Central. It is the only bus interchange in Singapore that does not have a direct link to an MRT station. However, several services link commuters to nearby MRT stations from the interchange. Tiong Bahru MRT Station
Tiong Bahru MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East West line in Bukit Merah, Singapore. This is the first and last underground station for eastbound and westbound trains respectively. Directly connected to Tiong Bahru Plaza, this station serves the residential precincts of Tiong Bahru and Bukit Ho Swee.
