Budapest Trophy
The Budapest Trophy is a senior- and junior-level figure skating competition held in Budapest, Hungary. The inaugural event was part of the 2020–21 ISU Challenger Series. Medals may be awarded in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dance on the senior and junior levels. Figure Skating
Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, pairs, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. It was the first winter sport to be included in the Olympic Games, when contested at the 1908 Olympics in London. The Olympic disciplines are men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance; the four individual disciplines are also combined into a team event, first included in the Winter Olympics in 2014. The non-Olympic disciplines include synchronized skating, Theater on Ice, and four skating. From intermediate through senior-level competition, skaters generally perform two programs (the short program and the free skate), which, depending on the discipline, may include spins, jumps, moves in the field, lifts, throw jumps, death spirals, and other elements or moves. Lukas Britschgi (born 17 February 1998) is a Swiss figure skater. He is the 2023 European bronze medalist, the 2022 CS Budapest Trophy silver medalist, the 2022 CS Warsaw Cup bronze medalist, and a three-time Swiss national champion (2019–20, 2022). Anastasia Nikolaevna Metelkina (russian: Анастасия Николаевна Метёлкина; ka, ანასტასია ნიკოლაევნა მეტელკინა; born 10 March 2005) is a Russian-born pair skater who competes for Georgia. With current partner Luka Berulava, she is the 2023–24 Junior Grand Prix Final champion and a two-time ISU Junior Grand Prix gold medalist. Niina Petrõkina
Niina Petrõkina (born 14 August 2004) is an Estonian figure skater. She is the 2023 Skate America bronze medalist, a four-time ISU Challenger Series medalist, and a two-time Estonian national champion (2022, 2023). Petrõkina has represented Estonia at the World Junior, European, and World championships, notably finishing ninth at the 2023 World Championships.
