Bub Carrington
Carlton Kaleel "Bub" Carrington III (born July 21, 2005) is an American basketball player for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Pittsburgh Panthers and was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 2024 NBA draft before being traded to the Wizards during the draft. Early life Carrington was born on July 21, 2005, in Baltimore, Maryland. The third in his family with the same name, he was nicknamed "lil' bub" after the nickname of his father, a basketball coach, later shortened to just "bub". He attended Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore, where he played basketball, baseball and football. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. In basketball, a double-double is a single-game performance in which a player accumulates ten or more in two of the following five statistical categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots. The first "double" in the term refers to the two (''double'') categories and the second "double" refers to accumulating ten or more (typically ''double'' digits) in that category. The 2023–24 Pittsburgh Panthers men's basketball team represented the University of Pittsburgh during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. In team sports, a most valuable player award, abbreviated 'MVP award', is an honor typically bestowed upon an individual (or individuals, in the instance of a tie) whose individual performance is the greatest in an entire league, for a particular competition, or on a specific team. The Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (M.I.A.A.) is a boys' sports conference for private high schools generally located in the Baltimore metropolitan area but extending to various other regions, including the state's mostly rural Eastern Shore. The M.I.A.A. has 27 member schools and offers competition in 17 sports. The Baltimore Catholic League (BCL), locally known as the Catholic League is a competitive basketball association composed of private Catholic high schools in the Baltimore, Maryland geographic area. Nike Elite Youth Basketball League
The Nike Elite Youth Basketball League, also known as Nike EYBL, or simply EYBL, is a basketball circuit for teams of players aged 17 and under. The circuit was founded in 2010 and is composed of AAU travel teams. Both boys and girls play in the EYBL in their respective categories.
