Roland Kun
Roland Tullen Kun (born 6 May 1970) is a Nauruan politician and Member of Parliament. Political career MP and Minister Kun was elected in 2004 to serve as a Member of the Parliament of Nauru and served as Minister of Justice. Kun was elected to the seat of Buada in 2004, 2007, 2008, in the April and June 2010 elections, and in 2013. He was a member of the Scotty government from 2004 to 2007, a member of the Stephen government from 2007 to 2012, and a member of the Dabwido government for much of the first half of 2013. Vinson Franco Detenamo (born 1954 in Buada) is a Nauruan politician. Since the 1980s, Detenamo has been a member of the Parliament of Nauru for Buada. He served as the Minister of Interior and Finance. He served as Minister Assisting the President of Nauru in the cabinets of Kenas Aroi, Bernard Dowiyogo, Ruben Kun and Kinza Clodumar in 1989–1995, 1996 and 1996–1999. He was Minister of Finance under Bernard Dowiyogo from June 1994 to November 1995. Shadlog Armait Bernicke (born 8 July 1966) is a Nauruan politician. Political role Bernicke was elected to parliament in the 2007 general elections. He gained the former seat of Terangi Adam. Lyn Terangi Adam (born August 8, 1947) is a Nauruan politician. Political role Living at the Buada Lagoon, Adam was elected to the Parliament of Nauru for the Buada Constituency in the 2000 general elections. This was somewhat of a noted achievement, given that Adam thereby ousted former President of Nauru Ruben Kun from his Parliamentary seat. Tamaiti Willie Star (October 192626 June 2007) was a Nauruan diplomat and politician. Early life Star was born in October 1926. He was a member of the Iruwa tribe. Career Star served on the Nauru Phosphate Corporation board of directors, and chairman of the Nauru Phosphate Royalties Trust. Star was posted in Melbourne, Australia as a welfare officer in 1968, shortly after Nauru became an independent country. He later became a representative of Nauru, before becoming the first consul-general in Melbourne from Nauru. On 29 March 1980, Star was appointed as ambassador to the United States. He was the first to hold this position. He presented his credentials to President Jimmy Carter on 6 June 1980. In January 1981, Star was appointed as acting chief secretary of the Nauruan public service and stopped serving as consul-general to Melbourne. HE Ruben James Kun (30 March 1942 – 21 September 2014) was a political figure from the Pacific nation of Nauru and was president of the Republic of Nauru.
