Bu-Buakei Jabbi
Bu-Buakei Jabbi (born May 7, 1945) is a Sierra Leonean lawyer and politician from the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP). He is an elected member of Parliament of Sierra Leone for Constituency 8 in Kailahun District. He is the senior attorney for the SLPP. Jabbi was the SLPP candidate for a seat in the Sierra Leone House of Parliament for Constituency 8 in Kailahun District, a reliable SLPP stronghold. He won the election in an overwhelming landslide with 86.10%, defeating his closest rival Fayia Kellie of the All People's Congress (APC) who took 10.58%. In 2011, Bu-Buakei Jabbi took the SLPP, a party he is a member, to the Supreme Court of Sierra Leone in an internal dispute between him and the party. The dispute has since been settled. Parliament of Sierra Leone is the legislative branch of the government of Sierra Leone. It is principally responsible for making laws. Mandingo People Of Sierra Leone
Mandinka people of Sierra Leone (commonly referred to as the Mandingo, Mandinka or Malinke) is a major ethnic group in Sierra Leone and a branch of the Mandinka people of West Africa. Most Sierra Leonean Mandingo are the direct descendants of Mandinka settlers from Guinea, who settled in the north and eastern part of Sierra Leone, beginning in the late 1870s to the 1890s under the rule of prominent Mandinka Muslim cleric Samori Ture. Also later a significantly large population of Mandinka from Guinea migrated and settled in Eastern Sierra Leone and Northern Sierra Leone in the early to mid 20th century. The Supreme Court of Sierra Leone is the highest court in Sierra Leone. It has final jurisdiction in all civil, criminal, and constitutional cases within Sierra Leone, and its decisions cannot be appealed. All People's Congress
The All People's Congress (APC) is one of the two major political parties in Sierra Leone, the other being its main political rival the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP). The APC has been the main opposition party in Sierra Leone since 4 April 2018 when Julius Maada Bio of the SLPP won the 2018 presidential elections, though it maintains a majority in parliament. The APC party was founded in 1960 by a breakaway group from the Sierra Leone People's Party that vehemently opposed elections before independence and instead supported independence before elections.
