''Btooom!'' (stylized as ''BTOOOM!'') is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Junya Inoue. It was serialized in Shinchosha's '' seinen'' manga magazine '' Comic Bunch'', where it ran from 2009 until 2018, with its chapters collected into 26 '' tankōbon'' volumes. ''Btooom!'' follows the adventures of Ryōta Sakamoto, an unemployed and isolated young man who is one of the world's top players in the titular video game. After Ryōta is nominated to participate in the real-life version of the game, he becomes trapped inside it and meets his love interest Himiko, who was his in-game wife. With the help of their fellow players, Ryōta and Himiko must find a way to return home. Sentai Filmworks, LLC or just Sentai, is an American entertainment company owned by AMC Networks. Located in Houston, the company specializes in the dubbing and distribution of Japanese animation and Asian cinema. Its post-production arm is Sentai Studios. The company has its origins in A.D. Vision, which was founded in 1992 by video game fan John Ledford and Matt Greenfield. ADV collapsed due to low sales and eventually liquidated their assets in 2009. Takaya Kuroda
is a Japanese actor and voice actor from Tokyo, Japan. He is affiliated with Axlone, and was formerly with Mausu Promotion and 81 Produce. He is best known for his bass voice, which has usually seen him cast in villainous roles such as the voice of Yaiba in ''GoGo Sentai Boukenger''. He is best known to western audiences for providing the voice of Kazuma Kiryu, the protagonist of the ''Like a Dragon'' series.
