Thijs Frederiks, better known by his stage name Brutus, (born in Amsterdam on 23 April 1983) is a Dutch rapper originating from Diemen, Netherlands. Alongside his older brother Lange Frans and rapper-singer better known as Baas B was a founding member of D-Men and the band's manager. Brutus had important recordings on ''De Straatremixes'' series of three D-Men mixtapes and cooperation with other D-Men members (rappers, singers and DJs) Lange Frans, Baas B, Negativ, Yes-R, Brace, C-Ronic and also with Darryl, The Opposites and Riza. His big break came with the success of the single "Mijn Feestje" credited to Brutus and Negativ. It reached #28 on the Dutch Singles Chart, staying 6 weeks on the chart. In 2006, he was featured in a release of single "Ik wacht al zo lang" credited to Lange Frans featuring Brutus and Tim van Di-Rect (real name Tim Akkerman) and reaching #18 in the Dutch Singles Chart. Yesser Roshdy ( arz, ياسر رشدي, ; born 2 November 1986), better known by his stage name Yes-R, is a Dutch rapper and television presenter. He was born in Amsterdam, to an Egyptian father, and a Moroccan mother. Before going solo, he was part of the Dutch hip-hop formation D-Men. He has also appeared in the films '''n Beetje Verliefd'' and ''Gangsterboys''. Early career Yes-R originates from East Amsterdam. Inspired by his cousin Ali B, he started rapping at the age of 12. A year later, he entered a talent show in which he placed second. In 2003, he was introduced to Lange Frans, the frontman of the rap formation D-Men, who was impressed by Yes-R's flow. The Dutch Single Top 100 or Single Top 100 is a Dutch chart, based on official physical single sales, legal downloads and since July 2013 streaming and composed by Dutch Charts. It is one of the three official charts, the other two being the Dutch Top 40 and the Mega Top 30. The difference is that these charts also include airplay data. The Opposites
The Opposites are a Dutch rap group, consisting of rappers (Willy) and Twan van Steenhoven (Big2). The two started rapping when de Bruin had to write a rap for his teacher as a punishment. Willem realized his rap potential and decided to continue rapping, together with friend Twan van Steenhoven he became addicted to Hip hop, so they say. The name The Opposites is a reference to the fact that Willem is short and a person of color, whereas Twan is tall and white. Early years After participating in a demo contest on the internet The Opposites got in touch with Mastermind Records which wanted to make a follow up on the very popular album Streetremixes from D-men. Eddy Brace Rashid MacDonald (born 23 August 1986), shortened to Brace, is a Dutch singer. He is best known for his collaborations with Dutch rapper Ali B, who helped to bring Brace to stardom after their first musical collaboration on the hit single "Ik ben je zat" released in the summer of 2004. Early life Brace was born in Surabaya, Indonesia, as a child of Surinamese parents. The family moved to the Netherlands, where he was raised in Amsterdam. His father Eddy MacDonald is a songwriter and his brother is a singer in the R&B groups K Shaw and VIP Allstars. Since he was eleven years old, he began to perform regularly on German stages, because his act was considered too young in the Netherlands. When Brace was 16, his father died. Maurits Robert Delchot better known by his stage name Negativ (born 8 September 1982) is a Dutch rapper, actor and radio broadcaster of Surinamese origin from Amsterdam-Oost. Negativ became part of the rap formation D-Men. He has also acted films like ''Bolletjes Blues'' and '' Complexx''. He also has his own weekly radio show where he DJs for ''Juize FM'' on Fridays.
