Bruneau Restaurant
Bruneau is a restaurant in Brussels, Belgium which has garnered a Michelin star, as well as an 18/20 rating from Gault-Millau. The chef was Jean-Pierre Bruneau, 74 years old in 2017. The restaurant was taken over by a former sous-chef Maxime Maziers and reopened in June 2018. It was renamed Bruneau by Maxime Maziers. Jean-Pierre Bruneau left his restaurant in Brussels on 22 January 2018. For the last service he prepared the famous Soupe VGE for his customers. Gault et Millau is a French restaurant guide. It was founded by two restaurant critics, Henri Gault and Christian Millau in 1965. Points system Gault Millau rates on a scale of 1 to 20, with 20 being the highest. Restaurants given below 10 points are rarely listed. The points are awarded based on the quality of the food, with comments about service, price or the atmosphere of the restaurant given separately. Daniel Rose is an American-born chef with restaurants in Paris and New York City. Career Originally from Wilmette, Illinois, Rose moved to France for undergraduate studies at the American University of Paris. He spent a year at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon. He apprenticed at the Bruneau Restaurant, a once three-star in Brussels, and worked at the luxurious Hotel Meurice with Yannick Alléno.
