Bruce V. Reagan
Bruce Vincent Reagan (July 5, 1902 – April 9, 1978) was an American politician who served in the California State Legislature. During World War II he served in the United States Army, being on staff for General Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was born on July 5, 1902, in Winnebago, Minnesota. He attended Shattuck Military Academy and Yale University where he took government and economics classes. He moved to Pasadena, California and worked at what became Merrill Lynch, Fenner & Beane of Pasadena. He became a member of the Pasadena Republican Club. In 1948 he ran for the Legislature of the State of California and won. He served in the 48th Assembly district from 1949 to 1951 and again in the 47th Assembly district from 1959 to 1963. He was member of the Pasadena Kiwanis, Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses. Bruce's wife was Muriel and his son was Bruce II. He died on April 9, 1978, in Pasadena. Alan Cranston
Alan MacGregor Cranston (June 19, 1914 – December 31, 2000) was an American politician and journalist who served as a United States Senator from California from 1969 to 1993, and as a President of the World Federalist Association from 1949 to 1952. Born in Palo Alto, California, Cranston worked as a journalist after graduating from Stanford University. After serving as California State Controller, he was elected to the Senate in 1968. He served as the Senate Democratic Whip from 1977 to 1991. In 1984, Cranston sought the Democratic presidential nomination, advocating a nuclear freeze during the later stages of the Cold War. He dropped out after the first set of primaries. In 1991, the Senate Ethics Committee reprimanded Cranston for his role in the savings and loan crisis as a member of the Keating Five. Ronald Wilson Reagan ( ; February 6, 1911June 5, 2004) was an American politician, actor, and union leader who served as the 40th president of the United States from 1981 to 1989.
