''The Raistlin Chronicles'' is a pair of novels, ''The Soulforge'' and ''Brothers in Arms'', set in the ''Dragonlance'' campaign setting of the '' Dungeons & Dragons'' fantasy role-playing game. ''The Soulforge'' ''The Soulforge'' is a fantasy novel written by Margaret Weis and set in the ''Dragonlance'' campaign setting. The novel was first published in January 1998, and covers the early life of the character Raistlin Majere. Margaret Weis has acknowledged Terry Phillip's ''The Soulforge'' gamebook for '' Advanced Dungeons & Dragons'' as the inspiration for the novel. ''Dragonlance'' is a shared universe created by Laura and Tracy Hickman, and expanded by Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis under the direction of TSR, Inc. into a series of fantasy novels. A gamebook is a work of printed fiction that allows the reader to participate in the story by making choices. Kitiara Uth Matar
Kitiara Uth Matar is a fictional character appearing in the Dragonlance campaign setting created by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. She is the daughter of a disgraced Solamnic Knight named Gregor Uth Matar and his first wife, Rosamun. She is also the half-sister of both Raistlin and Caramon Majere. Character development The novel '' Darkness and Light'' details "the travels of Kitiara and Sturm before the meeting at the Inn of the Last Home at the beginning of Dragonlance Chronicles. Caramon Majere (326 AC - 38 SC) is a fictional character from the Dragonlance books. He is depicted as a fighter and is one of the main characters in Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman's first Dragonlance trilogy, the ''Dragonlance Chronicles''. Caramon and his brother Raistlin Majere's relationship was explored in the NY Times Best Seller ''Twins Trilogy''. The Soulforge
''The Soulforge'' is a fantasy novel written by Margaret Weis and set in the Dragonlance campaign setting. The novel was first published in January 1998, and covers the early life of the character Raistlin Majere. Plot summary The story begins from Raistlin's childhood, and follows his progress through magic school. Many things occur that foreshadow the great power that he would one day attain, and offer an explanation as to why he is often vindictive and power hungry. The book concludes with Raistlin's test at the Tower of High Sorcery of Wayreth. The account of the test conflicts somewhat with a story that appeared in one of the books of the Dragonlance Legends trilogy, but gives a much more detailed account of how Raistlin came by his golden skin and hourglass eyes, and also how he bested the ancient archmage, Fistandantilus, from the time before the fall of Istar. Daniel Horne is an artist whose work has appeared in role-playing games. Early life Daniel R. Horne was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1960. Works Daniel Horne has produced interior and cover illustrations for role-playing game books since 1986. Don Perrin (born 1 October 1964) is a Canadian writer and former military officer. Early life and education Born in Iserlohn, Germany, Perrin grew up in Kingston, ON, Canada, McMasterville, QC, Canada, Bromley, Kent, England, and Ottawa, ON, Canada. Perrin served in the Canadian Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, in the Canadian Department of National Defence. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics from the Royal Military College of Canada in 1987. Career Don Perrin was Vice President of Operations with Mag Force 7, Inc. A Night At The Opera (Blind Guardian Album)
''A Night at the Opera'' is the seventh studio album by the German power metal band Blind Guardian, released in 2002. It is named after the 1975 Queen album of the same name, which is itself named after the Marx brothers film of the same name. This album continues a stylistic change from power metal into a more progressive sound, with multiple overlaid vocals, choirs, orchestral keys and guitar leads and less emphasis on powerful guitar riffs and heavy rhythms. As a result, drummer Thomen Stauch would leave the group, citing dissatisfaction with the direction the group was going in.
