Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra
The Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra (BSO) is a symphony orchestra in the New York City metropolitan area. Founded in 1973, the orchestra plays concerts throughout the year at the Brooklyn Museum and other venues in Brooklyn and New York City. The BSO's interim artistic director is Felipe Tristan. Starting with the 2015–2016 season, BSO's assistant conductor was Felipe Tristan, who then was promoted to associate conductor starting on the 2018–2019 season. The BSO's repertoire spans from the early classics to modern and contemporary works. The Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra rehearses at the Mark Morris Dance Center in downtown Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Museum is an art museum located in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. At , the museum is New York City's second largest and contains an art collection with around 1.5 million objects. Mark Morris Dance Center
The Mark Morris Dance Center is the permanent home of the international touring modern dance company, the Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG), in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York City. It is at 3 Lafayette Avenue, on the corner of Flatbush Avenue. Open since 2001, the center also houses rehearsal space for the dance community, outreach programs for local children and area residents, as well as a school offering dance classes to students of all ages.
