Bronwyn Labrum
Bronwyn Labrum is a New Zealand cultural historian and author. Labrum was born and raised in Whanganui, and attended Whanganui High School. She received a BA Hons and M.A. in history at Massey University, and was deputy editor of the student magazine ''Chaff''. She graduated with a PhD from Victoria University of Wellington in 2000. Labrum worked as curator of history and textiles at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa in Wellington, and was an associate professor in the School of Design at Massey University as well as teaching history at the University of Waikato. From 2016 she was the head of New Zealand and Pacific Cultures at Te Papa. She then joined Canterbury Museum to lead special projects. Bronwyn Joy Oliver (née Gooda, 22 February 1959 – 10 July 2006) was an Australian sculptor whose work primarily consisted of metalwork. Oliver was raised in rural New South Wales. She trained at Sydney's Alexander Mackie College of Advanced Education and London's Chelsea School of Art. She had early success, winning a New South Wales Travelling Art Scholarship in 1981 and the Moet & Chandon Australian Art Fellowship in 1984. Bronwyn Lee Mayer-Smith (born 3 July 1974 in Sydney) is an Australian water polo player from the gold medal squad of the 2000 Summer Olympics. Mayer married Damian Smith in January 2001.
