Brommaplan Metro Station
Brommaplan metro station is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is located in the district of Riksby, which is part of the borough of Bromma in the west of the city of Stockholm. The station is elevated and has a single island platform, with access from a lower level station building. The distance to Slussen is . The station lies on the route of a line known as the that formerly linked Alvik and Islandstorget. The Ängbybanan, which included the elevated tracks at Brommaplan now used by the metro, was designed and built for use by the future metro, but was operated from 1944 as part of line 11 of the Stockholm tramway. Brommaplan station was inaugurated as part of the metro on 26 October 1952 with the conversion of the Ängbybanan and its extension to form the metro line between Hötorget and Vällingby. The Stockholm metro ( sv, Stockholms tunnelbana) is a rapid transit system in Stockholm, Sweden. The first line opened in 1950, and today the system has 100 stations in use, of which 47 are underground and 53 above ground. There are three coloured lines, as shown on the tube maps, which form seven numbered routes with different termini. Riksby
Riksby is a suburb within the district of Västerort in Stockholm, Sweden. It is located in the borough of Bromma. History The name "Riksby" is derived from Riksby gård, a farm once located in the parish of Bromma parish. The village of Riksby was mentioned for the first time in a parish letter from 1409, when it was known as Rodhersby. Stockholm Municipality bought the land in the year 1904. It was previously a part of the estate of Åkeshofs Castle (''Åkeshof Slott''). In 1930, Riksby became an  allotment. Slussen Metro Station
Slussen is a station of the Stockholm metro, located in Slussenområdet in the district of Södermalm. The station is served by the Red and Green lines. Originally opened in 1933 as an underground tram stop, on 1 October 1950 it became the terminal of the first metro line running south to Hökarängen, it was again rebuilt when the extension of the line north to Hötorget was opened on 24 November 1957. On 5 April 1964, the first stretch of the Red line, between T-Centralen and Fruängen, was opened. Just outside the northern entrance to the metro station, there is a bus terminal for buses to the Nacka and Värmdö municipalities. Islandstorget is a station in the Stockholm metro on the Green line. It is located in the district of Södra Ängby, which is part of the borough of Bromma in the west of the city of Stockholm. Stockholm Tramway
The Stockholm tramway network forms part of the public transport system in Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden. Beginning with horse trams in 1877, the Stockholm tram network reached its largest extent in 1946. Many of the former suburban tram lines became parts of the Stockholm Metro between the years 1950-1964. Hötorget, formerly known as Kungsgatan, is an underground station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is situated near to the Hötorget square in the borough of Norrmalm in central Stockholm, and lies below Sveavägen between its junctions with and .
