''Broken Safety 2'' is the second album by American rapper 40 Cal. from Harlem, New York. It's a sequel to his debut album '' Broken Safety''. It was originally scheduled to be released in June 2007 but was instead released on September 11 that same year via Diplomat Records and Koch Records. It features guest spots by the Dipset. The album was originally scheduled to include a limited-edition bonus DVD featuring Dipset footage & live performances, but the release was cancelled by the distributor. The first single was "Big Boys". Calvin Alan Byrd (born December 17, 1981), professionally known by his stage name 40 Cal, is an American rapper. He was a member of Harlem-based hip-hop group The Diplomats. 40 Cal made his first appearance on the self-titled theme song, "40 Cal" for the Dipset album '' Diplomatic Immunity 2''. Gerrell Gaddis (born July 22, 1976), better known by his stage name Rell, is an American R&B singer and songwriter from Bowman, South Carolina. He was the first male R&B singer to sign to New York City-based label Roc-A-Fella Records, where he recorded with artists such as Kanye West, Jay-Z, Consequence, and Young Gunz. LaRon Louis James (born February 18, 1982), better known by his stage name Juelz Santana, is an American rapper and member of East Coast hip hop group The Diplomats, also known as Dipset. He is best known for his appearances on Cam'ron's 2002 singles, " Oh Boy" and " Hey Ma", which peaked at numbers 4 and 3 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 respectively, as well as Chris Brown's 2005 triple-platinum single, "Run It!", which topped the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 for five weeks. The Diplomats
The Diplomats (also known as Dipset) is an American hip hop collective formed in 1997 by childhood friends Cam'ron and Jim Jones in Harlem, New York. The group was originally composed of Cam'ron, Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey, all of whom grew up together in Harlem. In 1999, fellow Harlem-based rapper Juelz Santana joined the group. In 2001, following Cam'ron's signing, the group secured a recording contract with Roc-A-Fella Records. It subsequently began recording its debut album, ''Diplomatic Immunity'', and released it on the aforementioned labels in March 2003. East Coast Hip Hop
East Coast hip hop is a regional subgenre of hip hop music that originated in New York City during the 1970s. Hip hop is recognized to have originated and evolved first in the Bronx, New York City. In contrast to other styles, East Coast hip hop music has prioritized complex lyrics for attentive listening rather than beats for dancing.
