Brocklesby Railway Station
Brocklesby railway station was a station near Brocklesby, Lincolnshire. It was formally closed by British Rail on 3 October 1993. The station was located to suit the Earl of Yarborough, in his capacity as chairman of the Manchester Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway who built the line. It included a private waiting room for the Earl. The building was designed by architects Weightman and Hadfield in the Tudor Gothic style used throughout the line. The building is listed as grade II, in which the style is referred to as Jacobean. It is situated south from Habrough, south-west from Immingham, and is located close to the border of both North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire and is the most northerly village within non-metropolitan Lincolnshire and is also near Humberside International Airport. According to the 2001 Census Brocklesby had a population of 124. At the 2011 census the population was listed in the civil parish of Keelby. The parish includes the settlement of Limber Parva (or Little Limber) which lies to the south-west, and is the site of a deserted medieval village, defined by earthworks and crop marks of crofts, hollow ways and rectilinear enclosures. Newsham Abbey was located to the north of the village in the hamlet of Newsham, now part of Brocklesby civil parish. The Great Grimsby and Sheffield Junction Railway was an early British railway company which existed between 1845 and 1847 with the intention of providing rail services between Grimsby, New Holland and Gainsborough in the county of Lincolnshire. Habrough Railway Station
Habrough railway station serves the village of Habrough and the town of Immingham in North East Lincolnshire, England. It was built by the Great Grimsby and Sheffield Junction Railway in 1848. Up until 1988 there was a signal box at the station on the south side of the track and east side of the road with manually-operated gates. It was of typical Great Central Railway signal box design. The main buildings were located on the eastbound platform and were linked to the westbound one via a footbridge, but both have also been demolished and the level crossing was converted to an AHB (Automatic Half-Barrier) crossing. In 2015/2016, it was converted to a full-barrier level crossing with Obstacle Detection (MCB-OD).
